HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I literally just came from there and had to write this review because there's no way in hell I'm going to spend my hard earned money at a business who's number one priority isn't customer service. The food can be the best in town but if your workers have attitudes and act like they don't want to be there then no one will want to buy or visit this establishment. Sucks because I just started coming here and I really like the food, but today I was served with an attitude by a young Asian woman. As if me being there was bothering to her. She began with the utmost attitude not a single smile and barely looked my way while asking my order. I also had to remind her of things she should be asking me like rice seasoning and sauces etc. She should NOT be working customer service!!!!! Her protein portion sizes were also very small and I had to ask for more and when I did she literally gave me like 2 extra small pieces of chicken. Again for the price that you guys charge it should be no problem as a courtesy especially returning customers. I hope my next visit I have a better experience and hopefully that girl is either replaced or just not there when I go. Every other worker there was...

I really do love this place, but yesterday I had a horrible experience!! The young blonde female that was working was straight up rude and acted like she didn’t know how to make the chicken avocado bowl. My son put me onto this place a month ago, and I go every single week for my fix! I have even told my friends that never tried it to go and check it out! This place literally gained like 5 new customers based off my word and they loved it too!!! I have always been greeted with happy, polite service until yesterday! I was instantly annoyed and irritated. At that point I didn’t even want my food, not too mention how she really skimped on the ingredients (I normally get full) so I was still hungry after I did finish my bowl. SMDH that has never happened before. She looked miserable and like she was angry that customers walked in! I really do like this place and the chicken avocado bowl is sooo good! But they need to get rid of the miserable young blonde with the nasty rude attitude!!!!! Everyone else there is super nice and pleasant and you don’t have to ask for the rice seasoning or the house made sauce and they don’t skimp on the ingredients so you aren’t still hungry after spending $15. When you should be full...

I was excited to see that Albany had a poke restaurant, I moved out of state years ago and really enjoy poke bowls. The food was actually pretty good, although expensive. The reason for the low rating is based on a conversation I overheard from a manager to an employee. When she was explaining what she was looking for in hiring new employees she said "I hate people who call out sick, that is an immediate termination from me" and then explained how it was just too much work to find coverage and it's unfair to other employees. As a traveling healthcare worker I find that very unsettling. That manager would rather have a sick employee come to work with food than call off? I've worked food service before and no matter how short staffed you are, that is not risking others health. Especially now that covid-19 is such a part of our world. Think about who you are talking around, managers. Us patrons can hear you, and I will not be recommending that my local friends eat at this establishment. Purely based on overhearing that conversation. I hope your employees can feel safe about keeping their job even if they have to call out sick. That is not a fair...

I usually order in person, but the several times I’ve ordered delivery from this place I have been disappointed nearly every single time. Bowls are left nearly 35-40% empty which is astounding since you’re paying $17 for a bowl half filled with rice. Whenever I go in person they stack all the ingredients to the top where it touches the lid when you close it at the end. Delivery however, is so infuriating to me because it’s not the dasher shifting the food around, I live two and a half blocks away; it’s the workers thinking “the customer isn’t here to see me skimping out on food” or the owners thinking “lets save money on ingredients to people who pay extra to get it delivered since it’s not our fault once it leaves the store.” Lark St. Poke Bar really needs to step it up, a change in ingredients or seasonal items. Been really disappointed with my last few delivery orders.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm so glad that I did! I will say that the portions are a little small for the price (I spent $20 on a bowl, drink, and a tip which is a bit for lunch), but the unlimited delicious toppings makes up for that in my book. Those garlic and onion crunchies are to die for and the sauces are pretty great too. Edit: it is now October of 2024 and this place is still wonderful. I just got the best poke bowl I've ever had anywhere from them. They gave me way more protein and toppings than they did the last time I went there. Everything was fresh and delicious. Also seems like they haven't raised their prices with inflation because $20 for lunch is just normal now. Please give these people your money. They are wonderful.

My first visit here, and my first ever poké bowl. The ingredient/sauce selection is huge. My bowl was enormous and delicious and impossible to finish in one sitting. Only problem is the fish, which is not cut or cooked fresh, and it sits out in the open (in a refrigerated tray) for who knows how many hours or days, and it takes on that awful distinctive dead fish flavor. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only problem with the vibe is a way too loud sound system playing shrill generic pop nonsense in the early afternoon. No bass, all treble, very annoying. If I come back I won't eat the fish and I'll bring earplugs.
