Mexican Market — Restaurant in City of Albany

I went there for the 1st time because I had a craving for a burrito. 1st off let me say I was extremely surprised to find out how big it is on the inside. It looks much smaller than it really is. I believe it was a carne asada burrito. The price was right, the portion was good, the steak was cooked very well and it was flavorful. It could've used more pico, salsa or something. Chicken tacos, best I've ever had.

The huevos con jalapeno with rice and beans is delicious as well. In the restaurant on the menu it says huevos con jalapenos & asada but after getting home I seen there was no steak in it. I was very disappointed initially. After reviewing the take out menu I saw they no longer offer it with steak and I really didn't feel like going back. I don’t know if three stars are adequate bcuz the food is good but the steak quesadilla I ordered was cook with HAIR! Yes, as I was biting into it, I had a long black hair in my food and that turned me off as well as made me mad and sick!! HAIRNET 101 when performing any food service!! Also the language barrier is awful!! I’ll give it another try but will look thru my food first!!

There are a lot of great Mexican places to choose from in Albany, so I wasn't 100% sold with our initial order, but gave it another shot and it's clear you just gotta know what to get. Got the carne asada chimichanga the next time and it was FANTASTIC! It's also worth treating yourself to the tres leches or the cheesecake; portion size is a bit small but they're absolutely amazing.
