[ - 1ST EXPERIENCE - ] • The front desk man was cordial and soft spoken. Good first impression. • at first, we had to come back and get another key, because the key didn't work and it wasn't working with a door with someone inside already. ✨ So I got another key ✨ [ - THE ROOM - ] The room I got was on the main floor. It smelled of strong cigarettes and dirty clothes. The corners of the room were obviously neglected, dusty and had cobwebs galore. No bugs though! 👍 Our room was decent -- no cockroaches, bedbugs, or other, except for a little rat, but he was caught in a trap and kept squeaking all night. He pooped himself and kept screaming to be let free!!! (Poor Rat ☠️☠️) • Didn't feel comfortable using the ironing board because it had stains on it, and it also looked uncleaned. • The common theme here is ✨unclean :) ✨ • i thought my neighbors were musty. Ramada tops that by 10 fold. :) • Hallways stunk like nothing else -- weed, cigs, body odor, sweat, and probably mold too. • I Booked a downstairs room, it was decent. • I mean, the beds weren't dirty or had bugs -- but it really took me a couple hours to get down to sleep. Just felt a bit uncomfy after reading the sea of one star reviews about bedbugs (shudder) • not sure if conditions get worse the higher you go. Didn't hear any weird noises and no nuisances near my room. [ - THE TV - ] The TV was old, outdated, and only had like sports, two cartoons, four spanish channels, and some more movie channels. The channels go up to at least 55. The Olympics were on (channel 10), and cartoons are on (channel 27-28). I know some South Park was on there too. Not complaining though, I'm used to cable television. You control the TV by typing which channel you want in the number pad. Like 22, 53, 12, etc ... [ - VIBES - ] The Ramada felt like a motel kinda place. There were lots of Latino/Mexicans outside, I guess the are refugees (based off comments and papers hung downstairs of this place -- some of the flyers in a room read in Spanish that 'help is here', I guess?) Cafeteria looked like a school one and looked kinda busted. Didn't stop for breakfast at all, if the rooms look like this, you're not catching me eating here either 😁 ! [ - PARKING - ] When I went to park the car, it was fine -- just didn't wanna park it in the back, because I saw some suspicious looking Latino men sitting like they were about to do something. Don't know what, but I'm not about to find out, so I parked near the front. :) But, if I were you, (especially if with someone else), I wouldn't go alone outside to get something. Make sure to bring someone with you. Better to be safer than sorry. [ - HONORABLE MENTIONS - ] "Was Trash," - Anonymous "Bed was Comfy," - Anonymous "*unintelligible spanish," - Some Spanish Guy who was standing outside on a bike for like two hours MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUT THE PICS!! 🫦🫦🫦🫦 If you read to the end, RIP Mr. Rat Dead but never forgotten

PLEASE DONT!!!! This place doesn't even deserve the 1 star I rated but it's needed in order to write this review. No amount of money is worth the run down and disgusting conditions of this place. Staff: Alright, but not the friendliest by far. Everyone working the front desk seemed to know only enough to get you out of their face. Management: Doesn't really seem bothered by any of the concerns with the hotel. Seemed to want to help but then when reaches out for further assistance seem to not want to be bothered. The stay was actually 2 weeks ago and lasted 5 days too long (checked in Monday, checked out Friday). Needed a basic place to stay while in town for work and thought I could make this place work but boy was I wrong. Room 1: First night being there that morning the toilet got clogged. On my way to work I informed the front desk of the situation and was told it would be handled. 11 hours later I returned to a toilet that was still clogged because no one had come to fix it. I spoke to the front desk rep who informed me that they saw my issue noted in the book, great but if so why wasn't the issue addressed. Anywho, now they send a maintenance person up to fix the toilet, great. Later on while getting ready for bed I get a visitor in my bathroom (cockroach). I understand things happen and bugs travel so I don't make a big deal and kill the bug so I can go about my evening. Two days later I run into my toilet being clogged again. At this point I demand to speak with the manager (Nikki) and that she change my room. Room 2: First night in the new room and the conditions are horrible. Smh. No biggie I'm only here for work and will make the best of it. Went to take a shower and guess what, tub doesn't drain water properly. Second night into this room and not only do I still have the tub that won't drain properly but now there are more roaches. Best believe that night I packed up my things and the next morning I checked out. This was a prepaid reservation through a 3rd party site so I had to risk losing out on my money, but I didn't care because the condition of this place was horrible. At home I don't have cocktoaches running around my house so I'm not going to PAY to stay at an establishment that have them. I don't care how cheap their rates are I wouldn't recommend my worse enemy to stay in this place. There are plenty of other hotels in the area to choose from. But I guess it's true what they say that you get what you pay for.

Title: Extremely Disappointing Experience at Ramada Inn Albany I recently stayed at the Ramada Inn in Albany, New York, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn other travelers. My booking through the Wyndham Rewards program was meant to be a comfortable stay, but it turned out to be a nightmare. Upon arrival, I discovered that the hotel had been converted into a shelter for displaced immigrant migrants, and individuals needing emergency housing from state programs combating homelessness, none of which is disclosed during the booking process. The misleading information on the website and poor communication from staff completely ruined my expectations. The parking lot was chaotic, with no available spaces, including accessible parking. The hotel itself was in disrepair, and upon checking in, I noticed the unkempt conditions. When I asked the front desk about the hotel's status, I was told it was not housing homeless individuals, which turned out to be untrue. My assigned room (716) was infested with roaches, which are there to greet you in the elevators and the bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable, causing me significant pain during my stay. I even had to purchase my own bedding and roach spray just to make it somewhat bearable. The staff's unprofessionalism added to my frustration. I tried to extend my stay since J unfortunately need somewhere to stay for at least another two days unexpectedly. but was met with rude service and miscommunication regarding room availability. To make matters worse, I saw workers in hazmat suits and heard complaints from other guests about the lack of hot water and the same bug infestation. As people were checking in were as fast as they checked out. Overall, my experience at this hotel was far from acceptable. I urge potential guests to reconsider staying here until significant improvements are made. This property needs serious attention and should be investigated for its current practices. As a travel agent, I cannot recommend this hotel.

I have traveled a LOT in my life and I have never had such a bad experience with a hotel, if I could give it 0 stars I would. First of all, the photos online are not just deceptively misleading, the information is as well, considering they are advertising that the hotel has a restaurant and bar, which they conveniently leave out is never open. It also says there is a pool & other facilities like a fitness center, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, none of which was actually open or functioning. When we arrived, the first room they gave us wasn't just open, (yes OPEN) when we shut the door to try to reopen it with the key thinking maybe housekeeping just hadn't pulled it tight enough closed, it literally just pushed right open. When we went to the front desk to ask for a new room from the guy that checked us in he acted completely dismissive about it like we must be lying and there isn't anything wrong with it and we were very polite about it as well as we know things happen and it's not his fault directly but he still acted like we were just full of crap. Eventually he gave us another room, which wasn't much better considering the entire time we were there we had trouble getting the door to actually even open with the key because it was like it couldn't read it. Due to an unforeseen emergency we ended up having to stay another night longer than the planned weekend there and now I wish we hadn't because we got completely locked out of the room for hours while maintenance managed to get it open but couldn't fix it for us so we ended up not being able to even leave the room at the same time afterwards for the rest of the night/next morning for fear of being locked out again. Yes, the maintenance man literally told us there was nothing he could do and we'd just have to always have at least one of us there to open it from the inside. This door was so jankety the handle actually pulled straight off the door when we did close it completely at the end of our stay. Other ridiculous things that happened while we were there, not limited to but, included the front desk guy actually more than once being extremely unprofessional in flirting with me whenever I walked by without my husband with me, to the point he even asked me at one point "is that guy still with you?" Like did he think I was just going to ditch my husband for some random creep like that? We also got to witness the cops being called over a "disturbance" because a guest checking in complained about there being bed bugs in their room and we witnessed the beginning of this and she remained very calm in the beginning and didn't even start getting obviously and justifiably upset until the woman at the front desk was also completely dismissive towards her about it and didn't do anything to offer a solution to the issue, no new room, no refund, nothing. Oh, also the bathroom in the room we stayed in was covered in makeup and clearly not even wiped down by housekeeping after whoever stayed there prior to us and we were given the eye roll by the front desk creep when I asked for more towels because I cleaned it up myself because after how the day was already going I wasn't about to ask for a 3rd room and I had already unpacked almost all of our stuff before I even realized how filthy it was, or that we could really only take baths while there and not showers because almost no water came out of the shower head. We were not the only people that had issues with their rooms either. We saw many other people throughout the weekend on our floor also having issues getting into their rooms and their room keys either doing like ours and not even registering at all or blinking red like it read the key was there but it refused to open. Overall, this was hands down the worst experience I have ever had traveling and will...

On the day of arrival we faced one of the biggest issues, understaffed check-in desk. We had to wait in line for a long time because there was only one person at the desk dealing with all the problems beside new arrivals. And let me tell you, there were a lot of those on both accounts. While waiting, the family who was checking in at the moment received the information that because they are foreign, they will not get their deposit back… I mean that is just wrong in every way, but still, no matter what the family or those around tried, the guy just did not give their money back. Unbelievable. After the wait and going through everything at the front desk, we finally went up to our rooms. Problem number three arose. Our group had six people, but the rooms only had beds for four. Back to the lobby, back to the line and the guy at the desk. Asking for a room change because apparently, our booking was wrong. At this I was kind of surprised because obviously we knew how many of us would be staying while booking but no matter, we agreed to pay the difference for an “update” for one room. Now ladies and gentlemen. We went through three rooms before we were able to settle down with one. Let me just make a side note here. I’ve read a lot of reviews on the way to the hotel labeled hell hole, which came really handy while picking the updated room, because you know, we knew what to look out for. At least on the surface. Like the TV that keeps turning on (solution: unplug), the awful smell that would not go away no matter what, cold water, blood on the “freshly made” beds, ceiling falling off, cockroaches and the list goes on. Of course some of you may already have the question, of why picking this location to stay… Excellent question, unfortunately it wasn’t my choice and didn’t have any say in the matter. Back to the topic at hand, after going through 3 rooms and after the guy loosing his patience at the desk, we settled down with room number 509. Let me just warn you here. Do not ever accept this room if you have no other means of staying elsewhere. On the surface it looked better than the rest besides a few things not working well, like the lamp not working, the fridge that freezes everything and the ominous spots on every surface available. However what we did not see coming was the next morning. After spending one night in the bed, huge red hives started to appear on my body all over. I already had my suspicions towards the bed but it became apparent after the second night, that yes, the bed has bugs in them. Fun fact, I tend to have allergic reactions to bug bites, even when it’s just mosquito bites, so dear reader, you can imagine my discomfort that followed. If anyone here has experience with bedbugs, they know that even sleeping in layers, changing the sheets, not using the comforter or cover and taking showers all the time will not help. Obviously, I had the worst reaction to these bites, playing the role of an indicator, while my teammates only had to bear the itching dance throughout the days. Oh the joy! Of course there are other issues also, like how your included breakfast is basically 2 eggs and 2 burnt toasts or awful tasting waffles, how the corridors have rotten fish smells all the time, how hygiene is clearly a foreign concept in the building and I could continue, but you get the picture. I honestly don’t recommend for anyone to stay here unless they are indeed looking for an experience like ours. In that case, good luck and don’t forget to disinfect everything when...

In my honest opinion I highly recommend looking elsewhere. I would never stay at this hotel ever again. I had a bad vibe from this place as soon as I parked. I felt it was very unsafe as a lot of young “rapper wanna be” party boys were coming in and out of the place.

The only nice part of the place was the front desk man named Brian. Perfect gentleman whom had checked me in. First room he gave me we could not get into as the door was bound up and wedged shut, and would not open. He and I tried several times, finding a room with doors being stuck and not able to open. He finally gave me a room that we were able to open. You can see he really tried and cared. The lobby, hallways, common area all seemed very worn and not clean. My room had clean sheets and clean towels but still felt grimy and worn.

I forgot an item in my room. I called several hours after check out (Saturday) the Front desk (Man with Indian accent) was very snarky and sarcastic the whole time on the phone not wanting to help me. This man stated that I would have to wait till Monday and call back as he can’t leave the desk to check the room. I asked if one of my family members in the area can stop by and pick up my item and he said no. I would have to wait till Monday.

I called Sunday the next day and spoke with (woman with Indian accent) very snarky and sarcastic as well, and not wanting to help me retrieve my item, thinking that it was some type of joke. She just hung up on me.

I called the facility at least eight times and no one would help me, not even the manager Keith, who is very rude and unprofessional and told me that I have to call back tomorrow. How can he call himself a manager when he does not know how to manage people or his temper? Why couldn’t he just help me today? Then he rudely slammed the phone and hung up because I asked him why can’t he help me and he said “I don’t need you to give me a lecture”. I said I’m not giving you a lecture. I’m asking for help, as you pick up the phone and asked, “how may I help you”?

I have called Ramada corporate 4-5 they don’t care at all. They just open up a case number and state that someone’s going to get back to you. I asked them each time to speak with the owner of this facility and they stated that they would send him a message and request. Every time I call which this has been over a month now I still get no help. I also spoke with a very sarcastic Ramada corporate phone supervisor who says “it’s not our fault you left your item in the room”. This phone supervisor was also making up foolish analogies, and scenarios like a little immature teenage girl, thinking the whole thing was a joke. So pitiful that people don’t care about customers are in customer care services.

End of the story, if you have something that doesn’t belong to you, that is considered stealing. If we were to take some thing from the hotel, then it would serve us right to be charged on our credit cards or be arrested. Why doesn’t the same go for poor...
