I have traveled a LOT in my life and I have never had such a bad experience with a hotel, if I could give it 0 stars I would. First of all, the photos online are not just deceptively misleading, the information is as well, considering they are advertising that the hotel has a restaurant and bar, which they conveniently leave out is never open. It also says there is a pool & other facilities like a fitness center, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, none of which was actually open or functioning. When we arrived, the first room they gave us wasn't just open, (yes OPEN) when we shut the door to try to reopen it with the key thinking maybe housekeeping just hadn't pulled it tight enough closed, it literally just pushed right open. When we went to the front desk to ask for a new room from the guy that checked us in he acted completely dismissive about it like we must be lying and there isn't anything wrong with it and we were very polite about it as well as we know things happen and it's not his fault directly but he still acted like we were just full of crap. Eventually he gave us another room, which wasn't much better considering the entire time we were there we had trouble getting the door to actually even open with the key because it was like it couldn't read it. Due to an unforeseen emergency we ended up having to stay another night longer than the planned weekend there and now I wish we hadn't because we got completely locked out of the room for hours while maintenance managed to get it open but couldn't fix it for us so we ended up not being able to even leave the room at the same time afterwards for the rest of the night/next morning for fear of being locked out again. Yes, the maintenance man literally told us there was nothing he could do and we'd just have to always have at least one of us there to open it from the inside. This door was so jankety the handle actually pulled straight off the door when we did close it completely at the end of our stay. Other ridiculous things that happened while we were there, not limited to but, included the front desk guy actually more than once being extremely unprofessional in flirting with me whenever I walked by without my husband with me, to the point he even asked me at one point "is that guy still with you?" Like did he think I was just going to ditch my husband for some random creep like that? We also got to witness the cops being called over a "disturbance" because a guest checking in complained about there being bed bugs in their room and we witnessed the beginning of this and she remained very calm in the beginning and didn't even start getting obviously and justifiably upset until the woman at the front desk was also completely dismissive towards her about it and didn't do anything to offer a solution to the issue, no new room, no refund, nothing. Oh, also the bathroom in the room we stayed in was covered in makeup and clearly not even wiped down by housekeeping after whoever stayed there prior to us and we were given the eye roll by the front desk creep when I asked for more towels because I cleaned it up myself because after how the day was already going I wasn't about to ask for a 3rd room and I had already unpacked almost all of our stuff before I even realized how filthy it was, or that we could really only take baths while there and not showers because almost no water came out of the shower head. We were not the only people that had issues with their rooms either. We saw many other people throughout the weekend on our floor also having issues getting into their rooms and their room keys either doing like ours and not even registering at all or blinking red like it read the key was there but it refused to open. Overall, this was hands down the worst experience I have ever had traveling and will...
Read moreOn the day of arrival we faced one of the biggest issues, understaffed check-in desk. We had to wait in line for a long time because there was only one person at the desk dealing with all the problems beside new arrivals. And let me tell you, there were a lot of those on both accounts. While waiting, the family who was checking in at the moment received the information that because they are foreign, they will not get their deposit back… I mean that is just wrong in every way, but still, no matter what the family or those around tried, the guy just did not give their money back. Unbelievable. After the wait and going through everything at the front desk, we finally went up to our rooms. Problem number three arose. Our group had six people, but the rooms only had beds for four. Back to the lobby, back to the line and the guy at the desk. Asking for a room change because apparently, our booking was wrong. At this I was kind of surprised because obviously we knew how many of us would be staying while booking but no matter, we agreed to pay the difference for an “update” for one room. Now ladies and gentlemen. We went through three rooms before we were able to settle down with one. Let me just make a side note here. I’ve read a lot of reviews on the way to the hotel labeled hell hole, which came really handy while picking the updated room, because you know, we knew what to look out for. At least on the surface. Like the TV that keeps turning on (solution: unplug), the awful smell that would not go away no matter what, cold water, blood on the “freshly made” beds, ceiling falling off, cockroaches and the list goes on. Of course some of you may already have the question, of why picking this location to stay… Excellent question, unfortunately it wasn’t my choice and didn’t have any say in the matter. Back to the topic at hand, after going through 3 rooms and after the guy loosing his patience at the desk, we settled down with room number 509. Let me just warn you here. Do not ever accept this room if you have no other means of staying elsewhere. On the surface it looked better than the rest besides a few things not working well, like the lamp not working, the fridge that freezes everything and the ominous spots on every surface available. However what we did not see coming was the next morning. After spending one night in the bed, huge red hives started to appear on my body all over. I already had my suspicions towards the bed but it became apparent after the second night, that yes, the bed has bugs in them. Fun fact, I tend to have allergic reactions to bug bites, even when it’s just mosquito bites, so dear reader, you can imagine my discomfort that followed. If anyone here has experience with bedbugs, they know that even sleeping in layers, changing the sheets, not using the comforter or cover and taking showers all the time will not help. Obviously, I had the worst reaction to these bites, playing the role of an indicator, while my teammates only had to bear the itching dance throughout the days. Oh the joy! Of course there are other issues also, like how your included breakfast is basically 2 eggs and 2 burnt toasts or awful tasting waffles, how the corridors have rotten fish smells all the time, how hygiene is clearly a foreign concept in the building and I could continue, but you get the picture. I honestly don’t recommend for anyone to stay here unless they are indeed looking for an experience like ours. In that case, good luck and don’t forget to disinfect everything when...
Read moreIn my honest opinion I highly recommend looking elsewhere. I would never stay at this hotel ever again. I had a bad vibe from this place as soon as I parked. I felt it was very unsafe as a lot of young “rapper wanna be” party boys were coming in and out of the place.
The only nice part of the place was the front desk man named Brian. Perfect gentleman whom had checked me in. First room he gave me we could not get into as the door was bound up and wedged shut, and would not open. He and I tried several times, finding a room with doors being stuck and not able to open. He finally gave me a room that we were able to open. You can see he really tried and cared. The lobby, hallways, common area all seemed very worn and not clean. My room had clean sheets and clean towels but still felt grimy and worn.
I forgot an item in my room. I called several hours after check out (Saturday) the Front desk (Man with Indian accent) was very snarky and sarcastic the whole time on the phone not wanting to help me. This man stated that I would have to wait till Monday and call back as he can’t leave the desk to check the room. I asked if one of my family members in the area can stop by and pick up my item and he said no. I would have to wait till Monday.
I called Sunday the next day and spoke with (woman with Indian accent) very snarky and sarcastic as well, and not wanting to help me retrieve my item, thinking that it was some type of joke. She just hung up on me.
I called the facility at least eight times and no one would help me, not even the manager Keith, who is very rude and unprofessional and told me that I have to call back tomorrow. How can he call himself a manager when he does not know how to manage people or his temper? Why couldn’t he just help me today? Then he rudely slammed the phone and hung up because I asked him why can’t he help me and he said “I don’t need you to give me a lecture”. I said I’m not giving you a lecture. I’m asking for help, as you pick up the phone and asked, “how may I help you”?
I have called Ramada corporate 4-5 they don’t care at all. They just open up a case number and state that someone’s going to get back to you. I asked them each time to speak with the owner of this facility and they stated that they would send him a message and request. Every time I call which this has been over a month now I still get no help. I also spoke with a very sarcastic Ramada corporate phone supervisor who says “it’s not our fault you left your item in the room”. This phone supervisor was also making up foolish analogies, and scenarios like a little immature teenage girl, thinking the whole thing was a joke. So pitiful that people don’t care about customers are in customer care services.
End of the story, if you have something that doesn’t belong to you, that is considered stealing. If we were to take some thing from the hotel, then it would serve us right to be charged on our credit cards or be arrested. Why doesn’t the same go for poor...
