I want to give a higher review. I’ll start with the good. Very friendly people. My husband really liked the crust. I liked my toppings and the sauce. Now I’ll start with things that would be considered negatives. I thought the crust was a little chewy and hard. I was a huge fan of Navona’s pizza as it wasn’t wet (like LaPerla’s soggy mess) nor too hard and you could taste that it was cooked in a woodfired oven, which I did not taste the wood in this pizza. I ordered arugula and my pet peeve is that with this type of pizza, it’s always put on top after it’s cooked, but that’s me. My husband had spinach and there was maybe one leaf per slice. With two personal pizzas and two sodas, it came to $50 which I think is a little too much. Also, if you look at the photos on Google, they show entrées. They only serve pizza, wings, and cookies. I know they are new business and I want them to succeed, but I honestly wouldn’t go back because of the cost. We did not try the wings which do look good. They do have five tables that seat four so you can eat in, but it’s definitely a take out place so it doesn’t have a restaurant feel. It’s also chilly (it was maybe 30 that day) even though the oven is...
Read moreI’ve been here a couple times, and the pizza has always been really good. But the last few times I’ve ordered lately it’s been so great, like a step above. I was already a fan but I’m not sure if any adjustments have been made to be damn near perfect. The pizza is some really good wood fired pizza, the sauce is one of my all time favorites, and the toppings are fresh- I love mushrooms on pizza and it really bums me out when they use canned mushrooms. This place has the most flavorful mushrooms I’ve ever had. I recently tried their wings and they’re on par with the best wings anywhere in town. The other huge part of why they’re 5 stars is the service whenever I’m there. Friendly, engaging, good sense of humor, all of it. Even when there super busy they never treat you like it’s a pain in the ass to help you out. I really didn’t want to give this review because soon everyone is gonna know how awesome this place is, and I wish it could be a secret, but they deserve all the best. They rock so hard and I’ll be back as...
Read moreI was so excited to try this pizza because let's be honest, it's hard to get a pizza from DeFazios on a Friday. I called at 5:31pm and placed my order. They told me 10-15 mins. Cool. I arrived 20 minutes later and paid for my pizza. It wasn't ready yet but that didn't matter I get it things take time. I paid for my Margherita pizza and sat down at a table to wait. I sat there for 35 minutes. I decided to ask what was going on with my pie because people walking in after me were getting theirs.. again no big deal. Until they pull my pizza that was sitting there soggy and cold. I came home to cook the dough more and warm it up. It was pretty good. I'm sure it would have been much better if I got fresh. The fact they were ok with handing me cold pizza as I was waiting for it, in their restaurant and paid blows my mind. There were 2 of us waiting for pizza. The shop itself was not busy. Pay attention. If I wanted to cook my own pizza I would...
