I agree with the previous review. First of all, my husband and I were expecting at least a few traditional risotto dishes, as implied by the name of the restaurant. And for reference my husband is from the north of Italy, Treviso. Second, the food that we ordered was terrible. But we ate it because we ran errands during the first half of the day and then more errands to run after lunch. 1. We were starving, 2. We didn’t want to risk the staff doing something to our food by sending it back/reordering . I ordered crab cakes, which was burned and dry. My husbands’ Florentine Eggs Benedict was not poached (more hard broiled) and the English muffin was hard as a rock. The bartenders/servers didn’t even bother to ask us what we thought of the food. And lastly, for mediocre service to have gratuity built into the total of the check is insulting. Especially when the word gratuity is defined as “something given voluntarily or beyond obligation usually for some service”. For context, I’m not leaving this disappointing review because I have nothing better to do. I’ve worked in 4 star restaurants in Manhattan before and Risotto restaurant doesn’t deserve a satisfactory review. McDonald’s or Dunkin’ Donuts would have been a much better choice.

In response to my wife. Our friends didn’t even eat the food, she took one bite and spit it right out due to the fact it tasted like straight NUTMEG and not a pancake at all. I understand how a restaurant works, if she was to eat ALL the food I would get not being able to take it off. BUT, when you take a SINGLE bite to see how it is and realize this is nothing close to what you wanted, I would expect the common courtesy to take it off the bill. This was the worst experience we have EVER had here and we would come all the time. It was NEVER about the payment, we are three grown adults, it was all about the principle of it. Wish them the best and hope they can figure out there problems and take into account these reviews because if not this business will just go down hill. Head to Cafe Madison instead!

We had excellent service but felt the food was subpar. We were not very impressed. Maybe we are biased from the start because there just seems to be something wrong with putting American cheese in risotto but we wanted to try it to change our minds. My egg was very over cooked. My cheeseburger risotto tasted like Italy and McDonald's clashed; perhaps perfect for a hangover. The fresh fruit didn't seem so fresh but perhaps cut down a few days ago. And not that I would tip any less but it was odd that they automatically add a 20% tip to your meal. I kind of found it convenient and wouldn't mind it being the norm though. My spouse said his food lacked flavor. We might venture back to try dinner but we will stick with our Nonna's risotto recipes for now on.

Used to go to this place quite a bit. Menu had changed substantially, taking away a lot of really good menu items. My eggs Benedict was over cooked. We all left still feeling pretty hungry. Ordered bottomless mimosas, which were not that great. But the service was the worst part. Took almost 15 minutes to just put our drinks in because no one came up to us after we were seated. Our table was waiting for at least 20 minutes for our check while every single waiter was standing directly behind us at the bar, texting/talking to each other and not helping anyone else. While I wasn’t thrilled with the overall service and given that it wasn’t busy at all, I was extremely annoyed that gratuity was INCLUDED at 20% when we did not have an great experience. Even as we were leaving there was an employee texting on the bench in the front waiting area. Seemed like everyone was just looking to leave and was too busy on their phones. Used to really enjoy going here but that experience made me not want to...

We went to Risotto based on the recommendation of Hudson Valley Magazine. They apparently have made very good food in the past and displayed trip advisor awards in the waiting area. Our brunch was bad. We both had the chicken and waffles. When the order was out in less than 5 minutes, it was obvious that the dish had been premade and sat under heat lamps. The chicken was too thin and had dried out to the point that it was difficult to cut with the supplied steak knives. It was stringy, dry, and chewy rather than crisp. The waffle (really 1/2 waffle) didn't fare better. It had clearly been frozen and heated in a toaster. The home fries were alright. I expected more and better quality from a $12 plate. Instead, I received diner food that might as well have been microwaved. The drinks were good, which was the major redeeming factor. This restaurant needs to decide what it wants to be. You cannot bill yourself as upscale and charge upscale prices if you serve sub par food. We will not...
