We ordered take-out after seeing the photos and reviews posted on this restaurant so we had high expectations. We were disappointed. The food is okay but way over priced for the portions in my opinion. Our portions did not look like those photos. I tried posting pictures to show what we were served but for some reason I'm unable to. Its disappointing because I wanted to show what we got served compared to the other photos on here. The mac n cheese, cat fish and plantains were decent but the steak was really tough and was more like a watery stew or a soup. This was my first time eating here and I wasn't impressed. Maybe the portions are better when dining in? I see others had good experiences at this establishment but unfortunately for me that wasn't the case. $20 for 1/2 lb container of mac n cheese and a 1 lb container with about maybe 4oz of meat in it. The rest of the container was filled with soup with peppers and onions. Maybe down the line I'll give it another try and eat inside with the hopes that tonight...
   Read moreThe place was great, plenty of food (we took home more than enough for lunch) and very tasty. Was worried it would be too spicy but if anything might need a little more of a kick. (wife says it was just right) Owner was very nice, and helpful with the menu selections. it is a small restaurant maybe 14 tables, but until the college reopens not crowded.

   Read moreThis restaurant has an amazingly friendly staff! Owners Chris and Jeff are extremely welcoming and generous. Great portions and delicious food. I highly recommend stopping in if you are in Cortland. I live in New Jersey and visit my girlfriend in Cortland often and never have I had authentic Latin soul food like this in Upstate New York until now. I will definitely be stopping here for lunch or dinner every time I visit Cortland. 5 stars...
