Gator's Tavern — Restaurant in City of Cortland

We went on a Friday at 530 with the intention of seeing a movie at 730 2 mins away. The bar was busy, but there was only 1 other table in the dining room, and they were already served. The waitress didn't take our order until 545. We ordered pizza, wings, and a cheese steak. At 725, with still no food, we went to the counter to tell them to cancel our order. All of a sudden, it was ready. We had to take it to go to make our movie. The pizza was ok at best but overcooked. The cheesesteak was again subpar with litterally one slice of american cheese and the wings hot honey down right terrible. I realize it was busy, but no matter what, 2 hours to not even get dinner is ridiculous. The worst part is that the waitress never even came to our table in 2 hours to update or check on us. If we weren't starving and trying to get to a movie, we would have never even waited that long. If you want to be only a bar business then don't advertise as a restaurant as well. They didn't even give us anything off as a courtesy for the wait. I mean, it would have been a nice gesture to at least comp our drinks. Very poor service for...

We had a party of 9 and needed a last minute place to eat after a full day of moving 2 freshmen into their dorms and needing to get them back for a meeting, we googled and found Gators.

The place had a rough exterior to it, BUT the ole saying don't judge...

Inside the bar area looked awesome and you had a Cheers feeling as the wait staff took care of us very well.

Our wings were a little late getting to the table but the owner took care of us apologizing (unnecessarily)they were short staff, a common issue in most places, but still manged to put smiles on the 9 of our faces.

Definitely a place to have a drink and a burger. Looking forward to...

Pizza is okay and the wings were not crispy at all. The fries were the worst fries I ever had in my life. They weren't even crispy or cooked, they were still hard alittle still, it felt like he cooked it in a pan. The Pizza crust was still doughy and it looked like they bought it from a grocery store that's pre-made. Frozen pizza was better then this pizza. I wouldn't recommend this place for...
