M&D Deli Central — Restaurant in City of Cortland

Used M&D's Backyard BBQ for my son's fraternity's graduation party this past weekend. They could not have been easier to work with or more accommodating throughout the process. So friendly! Options are fantastic - we chose the pulled pork and marinated chicken meat options and for sides, the potato salad and macaroni salad. It came with rolls and a beautiful (and very delicious!) platter of cookies. Typically, the house would order from a big name BBQ place in Syracuse, but decided to go local this year. My first experience at M & D was excellent. A great Italian sub that competed with the best I've had and the counter people were extremely friendly. My second experience left much to be desired. The bread choices I was given were not meant for subs and while the ingredients were good, getting through the bread to them was challenging. The counter person who made the sub seemed to be either bothered by me or by her job, maybe both. Last time...

Adorable local deli feel. The staff were super friendly and helpful in finding the sandwich I'd love (I'm awful at making decisions, especially when there are are many delicious options). I had some sort of prosciutto and olive spread special, topped with Mozzarella, red peppers, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. It was incredible. I'm definitely coming back. Pro-tip: get the raspberry-filled vanilla cookies....
