I went in here pretty blind since there's almost nothing about the place on Google or Facebook. At first I was a little disappointed and confused because the menu is completely different from the menu they posted to FB just a few weeks ago. And I came expecting a performer to be playing but there wasn't. Turns out that the performers play upstairs where food is not served. So you cannot dine and listen to music at the same time. This wasn't told to us. We found out from overhearing someone else's conversation. Regarding the menu, I was initially a little miffed at the very different, very small menu offered but I ordered the southern chicken sandwich and it turned out to be AMAZING. The hot honey sauce and aoli on the sandwich were a great flavor combo. Delicious but messy cause of the sauce and very oversized chicken but it was easy to get to a sink to wash afterwards. The menu price range is wide. Sandwiches and burgers are pretty standard price but entrees are very expensive. Service was attentive and friendly. They have a big drink menu and a full bar for cocktails. They do have wine, but it's not listed on the drink menu so you need to ask the bartender. I recommend getting a reservation. We did not and luckily were able to get a table but it filled up very quickly afterwards. The atmosphere is very loud and busy like a bar and seating is very limited. Since the establishment is small on the dining floor, it gets quite crowded and loud easily. But it is aesthetically attractive inside the dining room. Upstairs they have a small lounge with tables, chairs, couches, and a stage for performers. It's really nice and I'm glad we have something like this in the area. I would definitely come back to order a drink and sit upstairs and enjoy some live music. Final note: other reviews made me think this was a really upscale place and I needed to dress up. It's not. I was overdressed. I think you wouldn't wanna wear sweats here but jeans are totally ok. It's a nice place but it's not...
Read moreWhat the heck happened? Decided to go to our favorite restaurant tonight 4/1/23 and might of as well just gone to Wendy's. The front of the house is an absolute mess.. Wait staff didn't know anything about the menu, an uneducated bar was serving over sweet drinks (I know simple syrup is cheaper than alcohol) the new checkout system was horrendous and didn't work and took more time than anything and it was completely not personal. Really fealt like I was at Chili's. Now the food was a disgrace. What the heck happened to this place? Menu is so uninviting it makes you want to leave. The Catfish was pretty much the laziest dish I have ever eaten at a restaurant. Just a piece of over fried fish (literally mushy) and some greens with a couple diced tomatoes. No sauce, no special try at making this a nice meal. Just LAZY!!! Now to the pork... come on!!!!! The driest piece of meat ever. The wait staff even suggested this to be cooked medium well.... are you serious??? Boring rice with olives. This was pretty much the worst meal I've had in a long time after what was sooo promising of a place. I will go back because of how good it was before but it better improve.
Been to this intimate restaurant a couple times and this is the absolute best restaurant in Elmira, Horseheads, and Corning. Hands down best food made from scratch. Service is great and music to dine by is always nice. If you think FLX Quincy in Corning is good then oh are you for a treat here. WMC North puts that place to shame. Just...
Read morewas looking for a nice dinner. the weirdest "meal" I've ever sat down for in my life. we asked for the food menu a few times after just being given the drinks menu. a table next to us was going through the same problem and eventually got brought a hand written menu that looks like it was written on the back of receipt paper. probably like three things on the "menu". we asked to see it and got told we needed to wait until they were done with it! when they were finished the waiter took it away and didn't come back to us...five... ten... fifteen minutes. eventually we got up and tried to pay for our drinks at the bar and the waiter couldn't even figure out how to check us out. I realize it may have been any body's first day or whatever but the worst part is that after all that... nobody even thought to apologize to us. we walked across the street and ate at siams elephant. won't be back....
