Rob & Deb's Frozen Dreams — Restaurant in City of Glens Falls

Like all of these ice cream stands, the prices have escalated the past several years at a rate that exemplifies gouging at its finest. The beginning of the season is when the initial sticker shock hits you in the face, but people are so accustomed in this country to being ripped off that we all take it in stride, except for a small percentage that say "enough is enough." Rob & Deb's had the audacity this week to raise the prices AGAIN, right in the middle of the season and at a time when people are struggling to make ends meet like never before. Two price increases in one year! I've been going here for many years, paying more each year as the portions, predictably, get smaller as the price gets bigger. Their ice cream is among the best in the whole area, the staff is always friendly and up until there was a change in management a few years ago, I always felt that I got a good value for the money. Those days are over, and the new reality is dictated by greed and a complete lack of empathy for the customer. The irony and ignorance of it all is that if they lowered the prices (which they would consider blasphemy), people would head to Rob & Deb's in droves like never before. Compared to years past, it's a total rip off and I will no longer support these swindlers after being a loyal customer for close to a decade. We usually love Rob n Debs and the atmosphere. However I was there 2 days ago with my Elderly Mom in a wheelchair and my 5 yr old niece who couldn't wait to get her ice cream with the eyes....I wish I took pictures....They have a bee problem big time! They were everywhere! Bees were at the ordering windows and hovering at all the garbage and bothering the customers. My niece is petrified of bees she batted at them with her arms and ran to my arms for protection which resulted in both of us covered in ice cream , me sitting protecting a very frightened child with a death grip on me . My dripping cone in my hand and my elderly Mom in a wheelchair. We were quite a site. Your staff had to hear my nieces screams. No one came to help us. Your staff was too busy closing your screens to keep the bees out of your business. Call Orkin please and you owe my niece an apology. Somebody's going to get bit who has allergies and that won't be a good situation. This 5 yr old talks non stop about going to Rob n Debs and loves your ice cream .....she couldn't wait to throw her cone away and leave saying she was never...

My girlfriend recommended this four years ago to me and my kids (now my wife...still have the kids). The service is quick, the portions are larger than expected - Case in point, my two daughters order smalls because they are bigger (mediums at other places). The ice cream is easily the best Tasting in the area being homemade. Near the end of 2017, we got five quarts of Peanut Butter to save in our backup fridge so I could surprise my wife during periods of the winter - Unfortunately we did not get passed Thanksgiving (and I hid the fifth quart really well...or so I thought).

This place does not help one's determination to stay on diet, but to have this "Guilty-Pleasure" so close to home, well we are overjoyed they are now open again after the long winter. I also happened upon their website when they might have peanut butter again and they have a search option. These people are "evil". The video in the background of them making a soft serve cone does not help one's willpower, especially before lunch. I'm probably going to be taking the girls here tonight before dinner....
