What an amazing place and great very friendly staff. I have been eating no animal protein and no dairy for about a year, due to some health issues. My wife found this place for us to have late breakfast/early lunch on our second day at Lake George, since they have fully vegan menu and a lot of gluten free options. Once inside, looking at the menu, we immediately realized that we will be back, even before we tried to food. They have great variety and great selections to choose from.
They also make their own bread, so when you walk in, you see bread makers through a window into their pretty sizy bakery with large staff and large ovens. You can say high and wave to the guys who make the bread and other good, since they always wave back, even though they are very busy.
Day 1 in this place. My mother in law got tofu scramble with gluten free bread, my wife and son got French toast with vegan bacon, and I got Mimi's Reuben. Every since I could eat meat for a while, I have been craving a good Reuben and didn't know what to expect, but decided to try it, on gluten free bread. OMG, it was absolutely amazing. The Reuben was absolutely delicious and so much like a real deal, but all vegan. Impressive would be an understatement. I can't have coffee now, but my wife got a cup and said that it doesn't have that acidic taste and absolutely delicious. What an incredible experience.
Day 2, it was not even a brainer for us, so we came back and got 3 Reubens for my son, my mother in law and myself, only theirs was on marble rye and mine on gluten free bread. My wife took a bite of my sandwich and couldn't believe how incredible it was, I crave it now, as I write this review, is how good that sandwich is. My wife that day got Healthy A.F. sandwich and loved it. Another incredible experience.
Day 3, our last day in Lake George, so it was not even a question, we came back, said hi again to their very friendly staff whom we knew already in a way and placed our order. This time, we again got 3 Mimi's Reuben sandwiches for my wife, my son and myself, all on marble rye and my mother in law got French Toast with Vegan Bacon, which I tried and it was absolutely incredible.
My mother in law on the last day, decided to take some bread home, so she bought a few loafs of bread, marble rye, since she loved it so much and gluten free bread.
I cannot speak highly enough of this place and will we be back, I truly hope so, since we plan to come back to Lake George and this will be our go to place for lunch and maybe even dinner if possible. Thank you staff and everyone involved, we truly had an amazing dining experience in your...

I give 1 star because I requested the owner, a former government candidate of a High, and a positive office, for a job and the Ability to learn how to make Bread.
Instead, as the rest, I was treated as an outcast from the start. Loved, but not broken bread with. Cared about, but not given the Ability to make My own fortune. I use My Money, My Mammon to save others and their Souls. Yet, I cannot save Myself, because We are all One Family Under the Sun, and I am just not part of this world. A Celestial Buddha, yes, but not the simple farmer that touches the Earth in Her Majesty and formulates Dust into Incalcuable Merits. I cannot, because no Jewish or Christian bread maker offers the Master a Place and Home.
Those who are wealthy can be either giving, as these people are, or hateful, as many of the rich are. But make no mistake; you are in fact, without wealth, an outcast in this world. You need to be rich to make it, but to try to insert yourself into a place, really is impossible.
It matters not whether the world was made through your Pure Heart and efforts; you are doubted at every single turn. Your heart cries for family, but you are nothing more than a large and Dark Shadow in this town.
Make no mistake; if you get a job here, treasure it and grow into it. And if you don't prepare to die. Of you come here to eat, be thankful for the Present Moment. A Frozen Death is all around elsewise.
That's what it means to visit Rockhill Bakery. Warmth or Absolute Coldness. Regardless of Intention, distrust will always remain.
I cannot wait to go Home. Israel and Pune India await for One like Me. This country outcasts the broken and doesn't help them heal. I wished to heal, and now I am broken. Yet, this IS My Body and Heart, so eat, drink, and be merry.
They offer free Bread to those in need, and a very Loving and Gracious Hand. Make no mistake, this IS the best bread company around.
Thanks for the last two loaves. Your new family is wonderful people. Thanks a lot, for everything. - Michael Briggs, Son of God, and the Third Coming (Meher Baba is the Christ, I just point the Way)....
Read moreWent in mid-morning on a Friday, and fell in love with this place! I really liked the cozy atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the very tasty food. I decided to go with a vegan breakfast (why not) and was pleasantly surprised by how well prepared everything was. I got the vegan breakfast sandwich on sourdough and a turmeric latte. SO GOOD. I thought the combination of flavors and textures in the sandwich were spot on. For the meat and cheese eaters out there, please don't compare this to a regular meat & cheese sandwich otherwise you might be disappointed. However, if you appreciate flavor and trying something different, you may enjoy their vegan fare. I was happy that the turmeric latte was not made out of soymilk though I can't remember if it was almond or coconut milk-- either way, it was very good.
I also picked up a biscotti, scone, and vegan oatmeal raisin cookies to enjoy later with my loved ones. The vegan oatmeal raisin cookies were chewy, moist, and filling! The biscotti and the scone are the best we had ever tasted! The baker (I think his name is Matt?) really knows his craft. The scone broke apart nicely, had a perfect crusty exterior and a melt-in-your-mouth and just-right on the crumbles interior. The biscotti was just the right amount of crunchy and soft all at the same time if that makes any sense. Both the scone and biscotti were very flavorful. There was also a "je ne sais quoi" to the flavor that we really liked-- maybe from them being hearth-baked?
Not only was the food excellent, but the service as well! The staff was very attentive and welcoming. Two women helped me during my visit. It was my first visit, and they were patient with me as I tried to figure out what I wanted and happily explained ingredients in the available offerings. I also people-watched for little bit, and it's really nice to see that the staff here treats all people with respect. They are friendly to all people from all walks of life.
I can't wait to go back! Thank you for making my first impression of Glens Falls...
