Searching for a place to warm ourselves up with food in this cold weather, I came here the other day with my girl for dinner.
To start, I gotta say the prices are pretty expensive for dinner! It was about $15 for a small rib eye, which contained only 5 pieces! I do have to say that the meat was pretty fresh though. In the end, we still got pretty full after eating up all the veggies, udon and rice that came with the order.
There was a choice of three soup bases, I tried the House (chicken broth). It was nothing out of the ordinary. The sauces, however, were quite yummy. The "sa cha" sauce they have were different from the ones I'm accustomed to (in a good way). It tasted as if it was a mix of the regular "sa cha" sauce found in most hot pot places and the peanut butter sauce. Together, it created a sauce that is creamy in texture, while still keeping the "sa cha" flavor. The ponzhu sauce and the peanut butter sauce was the usual fare.
Overall, I think this will probably be a better place to go to for lunch since the prices are...
Read moreI highly recommend this restaurant, and it is an excellent place to have hot soup on a cold or rainy day. The selection is good, and there are standard and premium options. Portion sizes ranging from 3 to 14 oz means you can select the best fit for your appetite. The staff here were friendly and kind, continuously checking up on us and asking if we needed anything. They even suggested what sauces and combinations work best with our meat selections. The miso soup was pleasant without being overly powerful in flavor. It complimented the chicken and tofu perfectly. The atmosphere here is excellent, with no loud music and nice relaxing vibes where we can eat peacefully. The place is clean, and there are no bad smells. There is plenty of ventilation so you don't smell the other tables' foods or what they are eating. The sauce station is always topped up and clean—no mess and clearly labeled. I highly recommend this location and will...
Read moreThe ownership has been changed, and the food quality is down. The meat quality is okay, but the vegetable bowl ingredients are so poor, mainly cabbages with three slices of carrots, two tiny pieces of tofu and little mushroom. The worst is the soup bases now added with additives. Your mouth would feel so sweet and uncomfortable in the day later or in the evening or night. Prices are not low. We had a large portion of kurobuta pork, a medium portion of rib eyes beef, a $9 of three small pieces of fried oyster, and two glasses of water. The total payment was $82+, including 9.5% of sales tax and 18% of tips, no orders of added charges of...
