Boice Brothers Ice Cream — Restaurant in City of Kingston

Hey guys. OK so today I decided to give this ice cream store anothertry. It has been 4 years since I was there last and I got myself of an aluminum chocolate twist to start I actually called to see if they accepted credit cards. And she said yes but there is a little bit of feed use the credit card but that's always nice to know because I don't always carry cash on me. Upon going to the store there was nobody at the window so I went inside and there were 2 lovely young ladies and they were very very helpful um I didn't ask if they had the pumpkin soft serve. She said yes and then when she went over she didn't realize that it wasn't frozen yet so I said not a big deal let me just get a vanilla and chocolate because I had to get back during my job. And I was pleasingly surprised. The ice cream that they physically make there was absolutely delicious. It was smooth creamy and I definitely taste the difference in the flavors. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. And the young ladies were very cheerful and smiling it's always nice to see employees that are helpful and happy in their job I did not get their names but I wanna thank them so much for helping me today. The ice cream was amazing just as I remember it when I was a child.

So I wanted to revise my review on them from 4 years ago when I really was not happy with it and it was literally the second time they had made the ice cream for me it was not the first time. I highly recommend going here they have a vast variety of their own milks and ice cream cakes and pies and things like that beautiful store beautiful people very clean and I love a business that keeps their place clean. Thank you For the ice cream it was awesome.

This place is usually so good and I would have rated it 5 stars, but the last time we went it just wasn't good. The ice cream portion was huge (which is a bonus) but we also ordered toppings with our ice cream there were basically none. We got a few things and one of the things we ordered was strawberry ice cream with caramel and oreos, the ice cream was good but there were only 2 tiny peices of oreos that's it two tiny crushed pieces. We then ordered vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and when asked if we could have a little more(the ice cream was barely covered) they said we would have to pay again. We then asked for hot fudge on an ice cream and when it came out there was barely half a pump we asked for more and she said you'd have to pay again we showed her the ice cream with barely anything on it and she begrudgingly gave us a little more. We usually go out of our way to go here but we won't be coming back for a while. I think they should get bigger cups so they can fit toppings with...

Boice brothers: please don't let your employees ruin a good business. Have been going here for years and have always enjoyed their ice cream. Today 7/24 around 2pm there was 3 employees standing by the service window talking amongst themselves but they would not take my order. I waited approximately 3 minutes, the employees looked at me waiting several times but did not open the window or take my order. I ended up leaving without an ice cream and went somewhere else. It was a sunny 95 degrees on a Sunday, a perfect day to cool off with an ice cream and the place was empty.

I am a caucasian looking male and I do believe race may have been the issue as I saw the caucasian couple behind me leave empty handed as well. I understand it's hard to find good help, but there has to be a better option than the staff you had working today. Very disappointing, thanks for years of good...
