very nice cozy little cafe... then I realized as I was leaving there was more seating in an adjacent room. lol Still nice and relaxed atmosphere. Cappachino was very very good. I also had a pastry roll of sorts. More of a cinnamon bun but with very light flaky shell. That said, the only minor less positive comments I have is that it being the first time I was there, I didnt realize there was another larger room to sit in, because the front room is small, crowded and while planned out as well as possible for the size room it was But they had the "kitchen", a display island for baked /cooked food items, shelving against a wall with coffees displayed [most costing somewhere in the $15 +/- per bag [not lb, as far as what I saw on the packaging] and crowed together seatings in one little corner of the room. As I mentioned above, the cappachino was quite good with that cute little swirl in the foam on the top. BUT, Perhaps since I make my own cappachinos at home, I've gotten out of touch with the big differences in price and portion /sizes in different cafes, as I considered it a smaller size cappachino with a large, almost extra large price on it. There were very few pastries /desserts to choose from. Perhaps it was because we went mid-morning [9:30 / 10am]. But the roll I choose was tasty but on the small size for the price. The cost for the cappachino & roll was approx $12. The cappachino was good enough to go back [ and next time, to sit in the next room with a little more room and a shade easier to talk in. I will do my best to accept that the basis of my percep- tion that this little snack was expensive, is I'm cheap about somethings and not about other things, plus I have a Keurig Rivo machine that makes pretty nice cappachinos, lattes and espressos [hot or cold] in a matter of a couple minutes with zero effort. It will always be healthier for people [when and if they can] to get out and socialize, instead of sitting home all the time. I will say that many people, normally, might not even think of stopping for something that might cost this much because they are retired or on a limited budget. I want to suggest for those who cant or choose not to pay the cost of custom cafe coffees, ect., that to achieve the goal of " Move a muscle, change a thought", that I have found that a regular cup of coffee can play the same role for as little as $1.08 at McDonald's [or all I can say in my area of NYS, that is what they are still charging any size]. I personally find that for a plain cup of coffee, McD's coffee is consistently pretty good. I now bring this review back to its intended subject of review, Village Coffee. I didnt give them 5 stars only because of cost, very limited "snack" dessert selection, overall generally cramped environment and not to forget, not very good...

I hate this place. I live five minutes away if that, and every few years I will stop in to see if it’s gotten any better. It hasn’t. Yesterday I went in and got a lovely maple latte made by a nice barista, but the man at the counter was rude and finishing a beer before he addressed me (11am-ish?). So today I went back to get the same latte because it was very tasty, I took a sip and it was clear there was no espresso in it. No problem of course, just a mistake! So I go back in and tell the rude barista that I didn’t taste the espresso and maybe it was forgotten (I am 100000% sure there was not espresso, it was white there was only almond milk and maple). He is rude & insists to me that he did put espresso in it….. he then aggressively remakes the drink instead of maybe just adding espresso? The new drink came out terribly clearly because it was made with anger. He aggressively placed the drink down and didn’t say a word. I threw the drink away and went to Camp Kingston. Don’t go here. Go to camp Kingston or rough draft. I am attaching a photo of the remade drink which still looks more like milk than a latte, I wish I had a photo of the first one. And to the rude barista, getting a simple coffee is my favorite part of the day every morning. I went to sleep looking forward to my latte and was nothing but nice the entire interaction, work on how you treat others as you were rude and provided both terrible service and a...

Best coffee in The Hudson Valley hands down. I'm obsessed with delicious coffee and don't say this lightly. When I was handed my first pour over cup of coffee in a comfy pottery mug I was transported by the perfection of flavor, deep rich and balanced. Later in the day I noticed that the caffeine buzz too was sustained, not nervy, just awake: in short coffee at its very best.

2nd visit (I can't stay away now). Mark, of the husband and wife co-owner team, handed me a flat white: that put to shame any flat white I'd ever previously tasted. One of the secrets is the freshest richest local organic milk on top of a state of the art expresso machine and burr grinder masterfully commandeered by Mark. They even have and sell a rich oat milk to substitute for dairy milk in the flat white or cappuccino or lattes.

Speaking of the local organic fare the food is sublime from freshly baked goods, a frittata with local ramps and asparagus on a bed of fresh greens topped with grated artisanal cheese. Their Australian roots are deliciously revealed in the homemade sourdough locally harvested whole grain toast with fresh butter and Vegemite.

Oh, and did I mention that they are accomplished musicians as well with a beautiful grand piano parked in the back room ready for live entertainment? This place is a slam dunk and while they currently aren't open on weekends this reviewer predicts the demand will build for a 7 day...

I tried Olympus Tea (which is apparently the name of the flower. Delicious! A teenie bit peppery but herbal, so no caffeine, and full-bodied. Loved it). The brand is In Pursuit of Tea. I also had a baked apple bar, and a Brekkie. The bar was delicious and not overly sweet which I appreciated, The homemade pesto is unlike any pesto I’ve ever had. It didn’t taste like parsley, and I could even seen leaves that looked like sage. It was fantastic!!!! So was the Vault no 5 cheese and the Roth cheese on top. My one complaint is that the croissant was dripping with oil. Not sure why, but I couldn’t eat it. I took the fillings out and threw out the croissant. That much oil would have added a lot of calories and it was just soggy anyway. Other than that, everything was perfect. A truly unique place. I don’t know if there is a specific ethnic food being offered but brekkie is, as I understand it, Australian. Parking is on the street and there is indoor and outdoor seating with a real communal feel. Lovely walk ways nearby too!

Wonderful esspresso! So far this is the best esspresso I've tasted in the area and drive almost 30 min every weekend to get it. I like how simple they keep their options here by having just maple as a syrup option. Their beans they use for esspresso have an almost deep hazelnut nutty flavor that really pokes through making each drink warm and vibrant. They also sell housemade baked goods that are amazing and fresh local foods in the shop. Highly recommend the staff is super kind too.
