We paid 10 dollars for calamari but only received 7 pieces?? Not nearly enough for the price or our group. Both of the 22 dollar hibachi combo were drenched in an overly sweet sauce-I have never had hibachi that tasted so sub par. Not only that-the portion was horrendously small. There was a thin strip/slice of salmon floating in a bowl of sweetsauce and vegetables with 7 pieces of shrimp?! Ridiculous! Same goes for the beef/shrimp hibachi dinner combo-drenched and floating in that horrible sauce. It looked like we ordered beef and brocolli combo from the chinese restaurant with extra sauce and tasted much worse. I never knew hibachi to be saucy like this. It definitely ruined the flavor of what little meat we had. The 2 yakisoba and spring rolls were okay in terms of flavor, but, everything else....the tempura included left much to be desired. Honestly I regret ever spending nearly 150 dollars here for a dinner party of 3. The food was extremely disappointing to my guests and I am embarrassed. Stay away at least from their hibachi dinners. Not worth the price at all-unfortunately mainly because of the flavor...I can get over portion size, but bad...
Read moreMy wife & I recently saw Buddy Guy at the Performing arts center and made reservations to dine here. Having lived in NYC and dined at many fine restaurants, We both agree, this place is top notch. I had the Beef Teriyaki diner box and my wife had the Chicken. Excellent, everything in the box was excellent, the tempura, sushi, shumai. We were both very pleased. Even the Miso soup that came with it, and the salad the dressing was excellent. The entire presentation of the meal, very good. Service was good, the waitress were nonstop action and the hostess had an excellent, how to say it, she was just 'aware' of everything and so nice.. What a wonderful dining experience. The house Saki could have been a bit hotter, but I'm not gonna hold that against them. This Place was hopping pre-show, so if you are attending any concert/show at the arts center, I'd recommend you get a reservation, there were people waiting ...
Next time we see a show at the arts center, we'll be...
Read moreThis is based on takeout, as I believe dine-in is not an option as of February 2021. The party platter of 15 rolls was ready fairly quickly (less than 30 minutes). The staff was courteous and friendly. The presentation was excellent. The sushi itself was just okay, if not a bit bland. The 15 regular roll party platter was $84 after tax and was a chef's choice mix. It seemed like there were duplicates of some rolls. I was surprised that sushi grade fish was used on many rolls versus just imitation crab stick, shrimp and vegetables. The rolls were very small. It was a nice mix for a group of people, but I'm not sure that it was worth the price. I still would try Yasuda again for specialty rolls and other options once dine-in is again an option, but I would not repeat on any party platter for takeout (even those including...
