I tried Dadou’s Haitian Restaurant for lunch and ordered the rice and peas with two tostones, goat with onions and peppers, plus cabbage hot sauce on the side. The lunch special was a great deal at $18 and easily fed two people. The flavors were spot on and the hot sauce had a good kick that blended really well with everything on the plate. I really enjoyed the rice and peas it was moist, flavorful, and not dry at all, which made everything very enjoyable. The goat, however, could have been better. It was a bit dry and chewy, which took away from the overall dish. Still, the portion was fair and everything else made up for it.
