If you're planning to come here for the bottomless brunch—be warned: don't close out your tab early, or you'll lose access to your drinks. I arrived at 12:08 and expected, like the menu states, 120 minutes of bottomless. At 1:19, we closed our check thinking we had until 2:08 to enjoy our drinks. When I asked for another one, I was told bottomless ends the moment you close out—something the waiter never mentioned.
What’s worse? The “waiter” turned out to be the manager, and still failed to communicate this extremely important detail. If I had known, I absolutely would’ve waited to close out. Instead, I paid for bottomless and was cut off with nearly 45 minutes left. Feels like I was robbed, honestly. For a place promoting bottomless brunch, this policy—and the lack of transparency —is incredibly disappointing
To respond to the restaurant: Dear House of Birria Team,
Thank you for your detailed response regarding our recent visit. I’d like to respectfully address a few key points and clarify our side of the experience.
Bottomless Drinks Policy Yes, two members of our party did opt for the bottomless drinks. At one point, we did request another round before completely finishing our current drinks—something that, we now understand, you enforce. However, this was not clearly stated on your menu or explained to us at the time. Additionally, we were told directly by your manager that she was unable to process another drink order because "adding more drinks messes up the system." This was the only reason we were given for the delay or denial of our next round—not because the current drinks weren't finished. This contradicts what you’re now stating and is important to note. Access to the Full 120 Minutes We understand the bottomless drinks are for 120 minutes, which we fully paid for. However, the issue is not whether we were allowed to stay for the full time—it’s that we were not served another drink during that period, even after asking. If service had continued as promised, I would have received my next drink within that window, but I did not. Simply allowing us to remain seated doesn’t fulfill the terms of the offer if drinks are not provided. Menu Clarity Your menu simply states "120 minutes of bottomless drinks." There is no mention of the “one drink at a time” rule, no-shared drinks policy, or that a new drink can’t be ordered until the current one is completely finished. We understand and respect house policies, but these need to be clearly communicated either in writing or verbally before or during service—not after the fact. Lastly, regarding the tone or demeanor of our party, we were surprised to hear this characterization. Any tension noted may have been a result of the confusion and frustration caused by the inconsistent information we were receiving during our visit. Our intention was never to create a negative environment but simply to enjoy a service we paid for under the terms as we understood them.
We appreciate your willingness to engage in this conversation, and we hope this feedback helps improve the clarity and consistency of your promotions moving...
Read moreThis restaurant offered an inventive mix of dishes but left room for improvement in several areas. Starting with the fry-chos (3/5), they were a creative spin on fries and nachos, though a bit more balance in toppings, heat, and freshness could have elevated the experience. The quesabirria tacos (3.5/5) had delicious, crispy tortillas with a satisfying cheese pull but would have benefited from bolder seasoning. The birria street tacos (3/5) and consommé had great flavor but arrived cooler than expected, impacting the overall experience. The flautas were a highlight (4.5/5)—crispy, flavorful, and generously filled with chicken, though I would have preferred them not some pre dunked in sour cream and cheese. Lastly, the quesabirria and carne asada tacos (4/5) were tasty and well-filled, though they, too, could have been served hotter.
The service left much to be desired. While the staff was friendly, they missed key details like providing water and timely drink service. The team could benefit from more in-house experience to enhance the dining flow, and the quirky atmosphere—complete with a psychic greeting offer—might not appeal to everyone.
Final Rating: 4/5
This restaurant has promise with flavorful dishes and a friendly team but could greatly improve with warmer food and more attentive service. A spot to check out if you’re nearby, especially for the flautas, but set expectations for a casual, somewhat unconventional...
Read moreFirst time dinning in, my server was Gabby. Gabby took our order, reread our order out loud correct which was great because i wanted to make sure something specific wasn’t on my food ( spicy green sauce ). When I received my food there was a discrepancy which wasn’t a super big Deal that they added they extra spicy sauce on top of my food, we all make mistakes from time to time. I kindly let Gabby know immediately what the discrepancy was with my order and instead of stay “hey I’m sorry, I apologized for the confuse or misunderstanding, or maybe I didn’t hear you when you said that etc.” she was immediately combative and defense saying rudely “so you don’t want this?” “ You never said you didn’t want _ on your food ”. Right after that she grabs the food off the table with an attitude walks straight into the kitchen to inform the workers in the back. My main issue wasn’t that she was rude to me at the table it was that she was talking so loud in the back of the kitchen about me that is was very evident she had an issue. My whole family at the table was very uncomfortable hearing her say the things she was saying in the back. Very very extremely unprofessional and most definitely uncalled for. Word of mouth is everything when it comes to small business. I wish I had a...
