Regarding Conservative Caridad and their reviews, I have never had a problem at the Switch Inn, and I have been to many a bar as an outsider. The Switch Inn is a local bar that has cliques but no drama and friendly staff. I had to use this bar several times because the town I was staying in next door had little to no cell service, so this place was a necessity for late-night work and contacting my family at a difficult time. If youāre looking for the hip new Four Seasons bar in Middletown, New York rock, I find it, and this is not the place. However, if you want a staple of Middletown and Orange County history like Rock Fantasy, DeFilippis Bakery, or Tony Boffaās, this is the place.
Conservative Caridad Has seven reviews that primarily deal with race and insecurity issues, not verifiable facts. I review establishments that have impacted my life, both positive and negative. I use Google and Yahoo reviews to help with my decisions because most seem reasonable and honest. However, Conservative Caridadās reviews seem to want to tear down businesses with false accusations and unsubstantiated issues of racial discrimination. If these issues did happen, I would happily boycott these establishments until they closed down. However, this is not the Switch Inn I know and have been to several times. I would highly recommend it if you are in Middletown and need something more than the hotel bar with obnoxious karaoke or the wants to be NYC club off North Street.
The Switch Inn is just a local bar with a lot of history welcoming staff and customers who are friendly or mind their business. I highly recommend stopping by to see...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāll try to be fair , but after my recent experience Iāll never return to this place . We were served by 2 bartenders that night and my companion ordered some Chicken strips and fries . When the order came out it looked like it was a ākids size meal ā 2 pieces of chicken and a hand tossed serving of broken fries on a small plate . All for $13.00 . One of the bartenders attempted to make it right by bringing 2 extra pieces of strips . Iāll give her that but my friend ordered a Margarita and one of the bartenders made it so sour that it tasted like we were sucking on a piece of lime . My friend pointed this out and the same bartender that gave us the additional chicken strips made us a new margarita and it was just right and also told us that there was no charge for the one that was returned. Fast forward to the bill and lo and behold they charged me for 3 margaritas when my friend only had 2 after returning one . Yes they charged me for the screwed up sour drink that was returned and poured down the sink . When I pointed this out there was just a shoulder shrug . Enjoy your $16 because thatās the last time Iām...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a response for the previous reviewer claiming discrimination because of the way she and her fiance looked when they entered the famed "Switch Inn" in Middletown. First off I am 44 years old and have been going to the Switch since, well let's say 21. No matter what day or time you walk in that place and it doesn't matter who is behind the bar they treat everyone the same. Like a patron, a customer, and oh how about this a human being. As a matter of fact I was at the Switch a few weeks ago, just missing brunch, and the place was filled with people of all sorts of colors of the human rainbow. And you know what? The white bartender was fully engorged in conversations with all people in the bar. So take the last review woth a grain of salt. The Switch Inn has and will be one of the greater spots in Middletown. One of the final few bars that aren't ran by corporate. Take care of all customers (as long as they are paying) no matter what they look like. So hit up the Switch Inn if you're in Middletown, they have amazing food, great staff, amazing drinks and some of the best conversations...
