My husband and I have been ordering from here for a very long time. We ALWAYS get the shrimp Empanadas tacos. This is what first caught my husband’s attention about this place. When we use to get the shrimp empanada tacos you actually had whole shrimp in it. Now they switched to some type of grounded up stuffing that they say is grinded up shrimp. I called the restaurant today to voice my concern in regard to the change and the person I spoke to tried to tell us it was never made with whole shrimp like we are crazy and don’t know what we ate. Furthermore he stated the menu says grinded shrimp which I don’t see that anywhere on the menu. I wasted $30 on 4 shrimp empanada tacos with NO SHRIMP just this “stuffing”. How do we know it’s “grinded shrimp”. You cannot start making a menu item one way and then change to cut cost. If people are ordering SHRIMP empanada tacos they expect to have SHRIMP in it. El Patio Truck is an absolute gem! I was lucky enough to find them at Costco, where they were contracted to feed the overnight staff during inventory—and wow, what an experience! From the moment I walked up, I noticed how spotless their truck and kitchen were. You can tell they take pride in everything they do.

I have visited El Patio Truck a couple of times and every time the experience has been amazing. The food is incredible. The empanada tacos are my absolute favorite. If you enjoy saucy and juicy foods, this is the item to order. My favorites are the pork, cheese and shrimp. The tacos are completely full with meat and cheese and maduros in every bite. Their chicharrón de pollo is on point along with the rice and beans. They have the best Moro as well. The food is well seasoned. When it comes to drinks they have homemade chinola and Lemonade juice. The juices are completely natural you can taste the Chinola or the Lemonade. The presentation is cute because they come in a pouch and it makes me feel like a kid again lol I recommend this spot.
