King's Southern Delight — Restaurant in City of Mount Vernon

Go here once and awhile never had a problem but today this girl who worked there made it difficult for me just to get some macaroni and cheese. I wanted 3 sides in a platter but she was giving me a bad vibe a bad attitude and a hard time for no reason. Then the old mean ass old black lady comes out and says no I can't have 3 sides because there is a limit. Ok soooo... I've never heard that before. This is not church or Sunday dinner it's a restaurant! Their food is pathetic anyway I really only went here when I didn't want to order something because I'm from CT but I rather drive to Amy Ruths in Harlem anyway! Usually the service here is good! Today they just were all woman and it seem like they all had their period and PMS well the old lady maybe just a bittsh because don't be mad at me you work in food service, I ordered my plate now serve it to me. What is the problem !? Oh your mad because I have a boss Aura and energy but I come in peace. Your mad because your serving my plate but maybe hungry and can't wait to get off !? That's not my problem hun. Don't be mad at the customers when your just a minimum wage disposable employee. Dont be mad at me for no reason when your job is to take my order. I didn't even want the food to begin with I wanted to fast today but I took a walk and thought, let me get some Mac and cheese and surprise my guy for dinner because I'm not cooking and we're vegetarians. Bad energy from people there keep the food! I will never be back, sometimes things are a sign! This restaurant DOESNT LOOK...

Was very excited to try this place after reading so many great reviews. I work in the area, and decided to pop in for lunch. Very disappointing. Where do I begin, first I walk in and to no surprise to me, was a line. Fine. They’re busy, people like their food. So, whatever. Only after to actually wait on line (3rd) and watch in shock as the server was super slow with serving and packaging a customers order. So, I’m thinking, maybe she’s just meticulous. Turns out, she’s just slow. Waited like a fool for an additional 14 mins for it to finally be my turn. NOTHING I had originally planned for was available (lucky me) I opt for the fish (whiting) a disappointment in itself, which they do make their fish on demand because why wouldn’t you, it’s whiting. The food is good but some of the people are rude, and they have the nerve to put up a sign saying if you have attitude you pay $10. They should pay us for their attitude. I stop going in there because there's a dark skin guy that works there and he gives me attitude every time I order. I will never go in there again! How are we expect to support our own people when we have nasty attitudes?? That dark skin guy looks like they got him off the streets. He need to adjust his attitude when dealing with people!
