The Stadium at Memorial Field — Attraction in City of Mount Vernon

Super disappointed with the way they run things here. Stopped by so that I can get a little exercise in with the little ones. When we get there, the sign says it closed at 8:00. Totally understand that, however, seems like the hour should change in the spring and summer being that it doesn't get dark until after 9: 00pm. Either way, understood that. Two of my boys (2 and 6 years old) had scooters with them. I was told that the scooters were not allowed in. That sucked, but I understood that too and I said that I would put it away. However, I also have a baby, so I went in with the stroller and I was told that strollers were not allowed. How do moms get exercise if they aren't allowed to bring their babies in unless you hold them? That sounds terrible and unthoughtful. I was under the impression that this was a family place, but it was very clear that it wasn't. It's a singles only place and you shouldn't bring your kids there unless they are able to walk the track and keep...

Memorial Field is FINALLY open! Today was Mt Vernon’s 1st football game since its reopening and it was AMAZING! The field is absolutely beautiful and it’s very evident that time was taken in the design and setup of the bleachers and the track! Though not completely done (hence the 4 and not 5 stars), today’s game was a great preview of what’s to come!! MVHS WON, and the cheerleaders were pumped up and wonderfully entertaining as well! The food was definitely too pricey ($8 for a cheeseburger🙄). However, the HEAVY presence of MVPD and Westchester County Police made for an extremely secure and safe environment! My family and I enjoyed a Sunday night soccer game watching the westchester soccer club. It was my first soccer game that wasn’t watching a bunch of little kids play soccer. We had a great time. We had some duck donuts we had hotdog from Walters. We got like little noisemaker and things to cheer on the team from some service providers in the main concourse area. We had a great time. I knew the soccer fans were a bit crazy and they did not disappoint even though this isn’t like some famous soccer team. we had a great time.
