I've been to Beechmont once before and had an okay experience but Today, they defiantly missed their mark. It's possible that the server and cook were overwhelmed by the amount of guests. The bar area was very packed.
I came in with my boyfriend and we sat in the far back area. We ordered wings as an appetizer and drinks immediately and told the waitress (she never identified her name) we needed a moment to look over menu. We were only provided one menu, so we shared it. After a moment of waiting, the waitress took the menu off our table but never returned back. These serves were moving very quickly, it was very hard to catch someone's attention. We finally were able to make eye contact and called her over to order. About 15 minutes later the wings arrived and they were warm- almost cold and served with blue-cheese (Which was their choice sauce, since we were never asked). We walked in starving, so to complain about this seamed so miniscule. The ice tea beverage had to be returned back and exchanged for another drink because it was bland and tasteless.
I ordered a Chicken Cesar Wrap and my boyfriend ordered The Hangover Burger. My Chicken Cesar was drenched with honey mustard dressing rather than Cesar. ---This is actually not the reason for my review, although I was very annoyed. I don't like to complain, and said everything was all good, when what I believe was either the Manager or Owner that was making his rounds asked how we were. As my boyfriend was mid-way through his burger, he noticed that it was pink in the center. We were finished with our meal at this point, because he started to feel sick with the bubble guts. Luckily for us we're locals but not so lucky for his stomach.....
Overall the food could have been prepared...
Read moreMy bf and I decided to give Beechmont Tavern a try on Thursday 10/12. The menu had so much to choose from, it is initially why we gave it a try with intentions on going back . However after being singled out by two promoters that were promoting a new Corona Premier beer I doubt we will be returning. We sat at the second table from the entrance as the first table was taken . The waiter was pleasant and checked up on us often. The two young ladies promoting the beer walked over to the bar and offered those customers a beer and then walked past our table to make their way to the first table and also offered them beer. It’s gets worse , while still having our dinner a few gentlemen walked in and immediately were offered Coronas . At this point I’m still trying to figure out how we have been sitting there over 20 minutes and walked by several times without being offered a Corona. Let me not forget to mention those sitting at the bar also got bottle holders/ sleeves for their Coronas as giveaways.
Unfortunately, by this time I no longer saw the manager in sight to present the matter to him. It was extremely discriminative of these two young ladies not to acknowledge us as if we weren’t sitting there having dinner. As the saying goes “ You never get a second chance to make a first impression “
It wasn’t that we needed a free beer it’s more of the principle behind not being acknowledged and being walking by as if we didn’t exist. If those are the kind of promoters you bring to your place of business I can tell you from a customers perspective it won’t be good...
Read moreI was served by melissa ask for her when you are there. She’s a bartender / waiter.
Now where do I begin. Beechmont tavern surprise me even tho I heard the won best wing in Westchester this year I didn’t believe the hype but let me tell u that’s hands down top 3 in in Westchester if not the best for sure. The flavors were hitting the crispness was there. Wasn’t dry at all they fried it to perfection. I truly enjoyed this place. Melissa let us know about the specials and the time they start. Make sure for the half off Wednesday happy hour deal you go after 7pm
And she told us about Fridays with self served free wings with a drink after 5pm I’ll definitely be back to this bar I asked her for her strongest beer and she gave me not only the strongest the coldest beer I’ve had in that area hands down.
I was blown away from this establishment I didn’t expect much but got way more than I bargained for my bill for 18 wings and 4 beers was $67 or so Not bad at all I have a $28 tip I believe. I truly can say I’ll be back and try more things on the menu to see if they have any weaknesses but I’ll definitely have the wings again I gotta try more flavors and see what’s there best. I’ll keep you posted
