Westchester Taco Grill — Restaurant in City of New Rochelle

5 Stars across the board! There was not a single thing I did not enjoy about this place. My son said he wanted a burger and my daughter was in the mood for burritos. I wanted a Chipotle type bowl etc.. So I whipped out the Yelp app checking my bookmarks and BAM!!!!! this spot popped up and they approved the go ahead to check it out. If you're looking for a real authentic, fresh made from scratch quality grub then FAM I got you (In My Wanda From Living Color Voice) This spot fulfills all of that.

Decor-lively crowd but not over doing it. One thing really stood out was how clean this place was, and very simple and easy on the eyes. Clean tables, and floors were clean and neat. More TV's than anticipated so this would be a good spot to catch your favorite local team AKA Yankees, Mets, Knicks, Giants Jets etc.. Good for families and kids as well.

Service-Outstanding! We were greeted as soon as we entered the business. We were told we could seat ourselves wherever we chose. Our waitress was cooler than a peppermint. She was knowledgeable as my daughter has to always make choosing her meal like a Final exam !! lol She showed plenty of patience and very personable attitude and actually had some jokes as well when she realized how cool we were and simple. She was on top of everything and very efficient as well. She possessed the great combination of a personable lovely attitude and attention. I feel bad I forgot her name smh I know shame on me.

How was the food you ask ?? Mannnnnnnnnnn listen LOL The first thing I will point about the food that you notice upon first bite is the quality and how fresh it is OMG. My daughter's burrito tasted like it was made by God himself LOL. The chicken texture, taste and season combination was unbelievable. My Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with Black beans, Cheese, Broccoli, corn and brown rice tasted like someones grandma made it fresh in the kitchen. I literally got made when I finished because I wanted more and I am not even kidding. The ingredients and preparation alone is what makes me give this place 5 stars. The decor and customer service just sealed the deal in that regard. My son crushed his burger so fast we forgot he ordered something LOL he gave it two thumbs up as well. Everyone was pleased and raving about this spot when we left. Big shout out to our waitress again for recommending doing the Kale/Pesto sauce as a side to see if you like it because it had a unique taste and could have ruined the bowl if you didn't like. I happened to like it though but for other people make sure you get it on the side to try it before going all in on your bowl. Your the bestest (In My Nicki Minaj Voice)

Bottom line if I lived near this place I don't think I would ever go to Chipotle again in life LOL That is saying a lot because I love Chipotle but as I ate my bowl I found myself thinking of Chipotle while making an ice grill frown. Definitely will be back to try other things on the menu. The menu has a little bit of everything which is why I say it is good for kids and and families. Every can get there taste buds satisfied.

I tried the Westchester Taco Grill for the first time this evening. I got a very enticing mailer. I decided to try their delivery service. The gentleman who answered the phone was very friendly and good at his job, making sure the mailer was legit. My order arrived at my door ahead of schedule. The delivery guy was also friendly. The hot food was still hot and the cold food was cold. I ordered the Family Taco Kit and the Ice Cream Tacos. The Family Taco Kit came with a massive amount of food. They said it roughly feeds 4-5 people, but it really depends on how much you can eat. I personally will have leftovers for days. It comes with ground beef, shredded chicken, both hard and soft taco shells, yellow rice, beans, and all the toppings (sour cream, shredded cheese, lettuce, guacamole and Pico De Gallo). The ground beef was slightly seasoned and not greasey. The shredded chicken was nicely seasoned and tender. The beans were perfection and were also seasoned nicely. The yellow rice was my least favorite. It was a little dry. Otherwise, everything was tasty in the Family Taco Kit. The Ice Cream Tacos came with 2 in an order. I think they could have had a little more cinnamon surgar and fewer chocolate chips as they were a bit overpowering in the flavor combo. Plus, it would have been nice if they were a bit bigger. That way, it would be easier to cut in half to share. Overall, it's a thumbs up from me. I am happy with the service and quality of food the Westchester Taco Grill provided. First time here and won’t be coming back. My sister and I sat down to eat had wings I ordered a DYI bowl my sister had wings and a few tacos. When I ordered the bowl I didn’t know they mixed the whole bowl together like literally mixed the whole thing and it doesn’t taste right. I took one bite and put it to the side and tried shredded chicken which were very bland. Weren’t good neither I took a few bites because I was very hungry. My sister had three tacos which were all cold. The manger/server Rene eventually comes to the table we’re sitting at. He wanted to know what was wrong with the bowl. I explained but before I did that he came to tell my sister and I that for future references he’s comping the meal but they don’t do that. Then proceeded to say it was a loss for him and the restaurant. He has never been to a restaurant were they swap a meal or comped it. He also stated that it’s on him if he gets a meal he doesn’t like not the restaurants problem. I have never been to a restaurant where if you didn’t like the food it cant be swapped out with another meal. Or comped and I sit in high end restaurants 5 stars steak house such as Maestros , Sei Less, Ruth Chris.
