Ordering on the app was a breeze, the problem was the delivery and what I received. I ordered at 9:11pm with the order arriving at 10:30pm which doesn't seem bad unless you consider: 1)I ordered 2 large pies- one plain cheese the other with sausage. 2) the tracker on the app said the order left the store at 9:27pm and 3)the store is 5 minutes from my home. All that being said, I was further disappointed when I saw the cheese and sausage had shifted to one side of the pizza where it was spilling over the edge of the crust. the customer service was weak when handling my 2 phone calls for a delivery update, but was completely non-existent when I called to speak about the problem pie, because no one answered the phone that time. As much as I wanted to have this addressed, I couldn't deny that it would add to the building frustration and already inexcusable wait time for what was a special request for dinner and result in my kids' valid inquiry of "where is the pizza, daddy?" To which I knew I'd have no answer. So I relented, and we ate what will in fact be our last dominos dinner as this has happened more times than I've voiced my displeasure with, and it seems no matter whether in Harlem, the Bronx or Westchester, this brand doesn't do enough to provide the standard level of care to customers or preparation of their orders and being consistently inconsistent might be ok for a summer fling, but I feel as though the relationship I've had with this company over the past 23 years was worth more than the time I waste having to heat up "just delivered" pizza because it's only a hair above room temperate when it arrives. All this does is remind me that Umberto's in New Hyde Park may be in Long Island, but that 1 hour 15 minute round trip is worth the extra effort it takes to close your app, and call them up....at least I know...
Read moreMy order always takes 35-45 minutes just to make it out the store. They need to hire more drivers or create a better system to get food to customers. Why pay. $4 delivery fee if I have to wait an hour to get my food. I live a couple miles from the store and it always takes at least 15 minutes for them to get here and recently the driver calls me to come outside. 1. I do not live in a dangerous neighborhood 2. They do not need a key to gain access to the building and bring my food up. So I don't understand why they want me to go outside and get it. I would do take out if I wanted to leave home. Also the food is usually cold. I recently started ordering from here with some frequency and tonight was the final straw. Switching to a different location and if it's more of the same, my local pizzeria will be seeing me far more often.
The driver gets here at 10:08 after my order was placed at 9:20 and tells me the store is lying about when the food is actually being prepared and taken out bc my food didn't come out the oven until a couple minutes before he left. Whatever is going on at this location needs addressing ASAP. Bc the store lying to customers lead to the drivers having to deal with...
Read moreThis location has been under new management and service has improved. Even if it's not instructions for the driver, a sticker prints out where you can type "no cut", "no garlic crust," or specify an allergy, something where a button isn't offered when ordering online.
Also, I've been told that the drivers cannot enter certain apartments due to previous injuries or robberies of their drivers as a direct order from the District Manager. Specify, instead, in the delivery instructions if you cannot go downstairs.
When the previous manager ran the store, I ordered a pizza for delivery in Larchmont, NY and received it 4 hours later with the completely wrong order. It was early in the day. I thought they forgot about my order. But now, I can expect to receive it within a half an hour (and considering how far it is from the store, I was impressed). I worked at this location when the new manger started running it for a few months while I took a semester off from College, but I have since moved upstate. The store here is what the comments sound like for this one. Lovely staff, especially the pizza makers. They'll take...
