Tulum Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Newburgh

Lacks consistency while the price is egregious. Duuuude i am not a picky eater nor am I one to be cheap about food. I'm not a complainer unless its legit. Ordering food is my comfort when I have had a busy week and dont want to cook. Ive ordered 3 times from here and will not be ordering from here again. They are not consistent. The food is different everytime. We ordered chips We got tostadas, we ordered agua Fresca we got lemonade. We order shrimp tacos and it was swimming in Chipotle mayo this time around (I'm allergic to mayo so i assumed it wasnt going to have mayo this time like before) , we order steak tacos got pork. I am big on supporting my community and small businesses so I BADLY wanted to love this place. The only amazing thing about my meal is the color of the salsa Verde but sadly not the taste. How is it so green but watery? Because they cut it with spring water. It's obvious. If you're a foodie like me, you WILL know. Like HOW?? I legit can make this flavorless green water sauce at home con mas sabor. It used to be SOOOO good but now its just green chunky water. Never again because it's obvious they are skimping on ingredients to stretch food. If that's the case they probably need to...

This is my second time visiting... The food is very good and happy hour is definitely a good deal. However this visit the service was lacking. For example we had to ask several times for drinks we ordered and we were seated at the bar. My cousin and I had the same drink and it was inconsistently made each time and when we asked about it, the bartender said I measured it the same every time. When our glasses were empty, we observed the bartender looking at them and passing us by several times and we even put the glass at the edge of the bar... We were not offered another drink. This was not the case the first time, I wonder if it was because it was happy hour and the drinks are discounted. I don't know... In any event, I'll definitely return because I think that this was a one off and not the normal. My cousin visits all the time and also felt that it was not the usual. It did appear that they may have been short staffed that day and the bartender was very busy doing other things than bartending. So to be fair... It didn't ruin my visit...I had...

My experience was amazing, the city vibe with great music 🎶. Had us enjoying our dinner the server was amazing she was definitely sweet and was always checking on our table great service . The food was great from the Appetizer to the main course and desert , everything took a decent time to get to our table. Now Let’s talk about the Drinks omg the cocoloco was my favorite! Also the balazo shot. I had a few other drinks and they did not disappoint at all. The only thing that I was a little dissatisfied with was how hot it got because of the lights that were pointing right at us. we were a group of 10 and we were all sweating before our food got there, we did ask to have them turned off but I guess it wasn’t possible, they should have a at least fans hanging to keep the room at a temperature were we are not uncomfortable with.
