Date Night at District 37, our first time. 8/10. #foodiereview #buffalorestaurant @danielevans924 #fyp #explorepage #CapCut

Started out with the Cuban Cigars. They were good but all 3 of us who shared agreed that they were incredibly dry and absolutely need the sauce. Our party of 8 enjoyed our drinks and meals with the exception that one female in our group complained that her water tasted strongly of soap, so I tried it and it did indeed. It was undrinkable - bad. Told the server (who was a good server) but she seemed indifferent and basically ignored that feedback. One person in our party, a child, can’t eat cheese, and they brought out her sliders with cheese on it, even though we specified. The poor girl sat there eating fries, we were almost all done by the time she got her refire. My burger was good but only after I added salt and pepper, otherwise, even with the bacon jam, onions etc on it, it was so bland. I should clarify I am not one of those people who salts their food (I often add a dash of pepper). I got it pink and it was cooked perfectly, just not seasoned, at all. The bacon jam was good! Dining experience: where we sat, we saw a heavy amount of staff just kind of hanging around our table (right near the kitchen). It was a bit awkward, lots of meandering. However, it’s a nice spot, the parking kinda stinks, the intersection seems extremely dangerous. The prices are a little high but expected for the canal front area, I suppose. It’s a good addition and better than dockside. Remington is in a different league. A welcomed pub style! Hope it continues to get business!

I arrived at the bar at 9:45 p.m. on a Monday night. The website said the kitchen closed at 10:00 p.m. and the bar at 11:00 p.m. I ordered brisket with sides of pimento mac and cheese and fries.

The food was good taste wise, but the brisket was cold, and the mac and cheese was lukewarm at best. When the bartender asked how the food was, I told him exactly that. His response was "fair enough." Not really the response I was expecting. I then told him I was undecided whether or not I was going to order a drink, and he told me last call was at 10:15, even though the website said the bar was open until 11:00. 10:15 is pretty early to tell people they can no longer order drinks when the bar is supposed to be open until 11:00. I decided not to have a drink, as it was 10:13, and I was only going to be allowed to have one.

I asked the bartender to cash me out, which he did. I expected that there would be at least some reduction in price, as most of my food was cold. Nope! I was charged full price, $29 and change. The cold brisket and lukewarm at best mac and cheese were not worth almost $30. The food probably would have been good if it was hot, or at least warm, but it was not. Service was less than desirable, as nothing at all was done about the cold food, and because I was told I could not have a beer after 10:15. What makes all of this even worse is it was my birthday. I will come back and give them another chance, but it will have to be a lot better next time if I'm going to return after that. Two thumbs down for District 37 šŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡

I returned to give Distrct 37 another chance, since the food wasn't bad the first time, just cold. They more than made up for the first visit this time. The food was all appropriate temperature and was excellent. My Daughter and I both liked everything we ordered. I'm upping my review from two stars to four. I would give them five, but again, the food was cold on my first visit. I attribute this to the fact I sat down at the bar 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. I understand everyone was probably ready to go home, but I think most people would still expect warm food. Everything was excellent the second visit, and I will definitely return. Hopefully the owner has a talk with the kitchen staff about the temperature of the food being served right up until close. Overall, District 37 is a great restaurant. Excellent food, nice atmosphere, and very...

Have been twice since it opened, fantastic both times. Appetizers are delicious and good sized portions to share! I’ve had boom boom shrimp, the nachos with ground beef (the chips are made in house and delicious!), Thai chili Brussels, pretzel sticks, the burrata, and the birria egg rolls. Honestly the only issue is I don’t know what to order when I go back because I want them all!

For meals, we’ve had the pepperoni pizza which was very well made with a good crunch on the crust, the pimento chicken which an absolutely delicious new take on a chicken sandwich, the Nashville hot chicken which was seasoned and topped well with the right amount of kick as expected. There was two burgers tried as well, the heat wave which was a personal favorite with the pepper spread and the sunrise sizzler which was my boyfriend’s favorite! The fries and pimento mac and cheese were sides, well portioned and served hot and fresh. Warning: the pimento mac and cheese has a kick (which I LOVED). Great side upgrade choice in my opinion.

Last we had a cookie skillet one visit which is what you would expect and delicious. We are not big drinkers but they tap options they have looked like there would be an option for everyone and they have cherry coke as a soda choice! Also, we had some allergies and substitutions (gluten, vegan, honey allergy) and the server was very attentive and clear on making sure those were accurate and safely served and they had multiple vegan options to begin with which was appreciated! The owner came over and greeted us at the door when we (briefly) waited for a table and was so genuine and grateful for the support, came by to make sure everything was good, all servers and bartenders we interacted with were so nice, and for being brand new there were no service issues and speed of food was so fast and everything was hot and fresh! Absolutely cannot wait to go back, going to make this my birthday dinner spot in a few weeks for sure!! Everyone should check out this awesome new place and sit on the patio before the Buffalo winter rolls in.

took zero photos due to absolutely enjoying every bite but will update with photos...

A Flavor Fiesta You Won’t Forget

From the moment I stepped into this vibrant, cozy spot tucked away like a local secret (the kind you almost don't want to share), I knew I was in for a ride. The music had just the right groove, the lighting was a warm invitation, and the aromas? Think smoky, spicy, and a little mysterious—like a backyard BBQ meets Havana nightlife.

Enter Jack, our server for the evening, and honestly, a star in his own right. This guy wasn’t just slinging plates—he was orchestrating a dining experience. Friendly without being fake, fast without rushing us, and somehow knew exactly when we were ready to move on to the next course. Give Jack a raise, a medal, or at the very least, a dedicated fan page.

We kicked things off with the Cuban Cigars—no, not the smoky tobacco kind, but a crunchy, golden appetizer that deserves top billing. These little beauties were tightly rolled, flash-fried, and packed with seasoned pork, melted cheese, and a hint of pickled tang that danced on the tongue. Dipped into the accompanying sweet citrus sauce? Game over. I could’ve eaten six.

But the real knockout came in the form of the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Now, I’ve had my fair share of buffalo-this and chicken-that, but this pie redefined the combo. The crust was crisped to perfection—none of that soggy nonsense—while the buffalo sauce struck the perfect balance between heat and flavor. Topped with juicy chunks of chicken, a sharp blue cheese, and a sprinkle of scallions for that fresh bite? It was messy, spicy, cheesy chaos… and I was 100% here for it.

By the time the check came, I was full, grinning, and already plotting my next visit. If you like bold flavors, unforgettable service, and an atmosphere that feels like a low-key party in your honor, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. And when you go, ask for Jack. Trust me.

5/5 Stars Would recommend to friends, strangers, and anyone with...
