This park on the Erie Canal and Erie Canalway Trail is clean and well kept. Located on the pedestrian only Canal Street, it's at the confluence of Ellicott Creek and the Erie Canal as it travels along Tonawanda Creek.
I understand that there are events here, but I have only biked along through the park, so I can't comment on those events.
Just across from the canal is a restroom area, and at the back of that is a bike tool station, and a vending machine with bike parts. Last year there was a water bottle filler/drinking fountain there too, but on my recent trip there it was missing. Hopefully it will be back, as it's a great resource and rest stop...

Both sides have put a lot of money into updating and revitalizing the area, they hold concerts in the harbor area on the North Tonawanda side as well as on the City of Tonawanda side they spent $1mil to installing a new bathroom area behind main streets main strip. A lot of money has been put into this place to try to revitalize it for the canal fest week. Read moreWas pleased to see available seating to partake in activities, whether alone or in a group. Picnic tables and wrought iron benches on premises. The layout is a bit confusing, at first, for finding which angles and paths lead to steps and garbage receptacle. I'm sure subsequent visits will bring familiarity. There are graduated steps for seating, under a pavilion, providing shade opportunity. Public restrooms available for boaters and visitors along the Erie Canal.
