Hi this is Charlotte Timey. I am attempting to contact the owner regarding a review I had left on Google about our dining experience last Friday. The owner is claiming I posted a false review. i could not find the proper spot to respond to your request for receipt proof. I am a real person and left an honeat review. I also own several place of business myself. Im sorry you do not approve of my review but I think I have a right to share my experience. Its hurtful to hear that you think I am not being honest. Im not sure what is really going on there but what i felt by shady is dark . Our wait staff did not seem happy to wait on us or be there. It felt gloomy and dark if you can u understand what I mean. Also i apologize i had the date wrong. I was there Thursday night i thought Friday because that was supposed to be the original plan but it got rescheduled for Thursday evening. Sorry about yhat that one was my fault!! Im a cheeful personality. If you'd like I could meet up with you and show you our receipt from dine in if youd like to discuss this experience. Im not trying to hurt your business.. I am trying to help you improve it. As a business owner myself I got better by honest reviews and listening to the needs of the people I was serving. I went to this bar restaurant on Friday november 12th 2020. I was with my brother Reginald and my sister Doria. The hostess working at 6 pm that day was very rude to our party and made some nasty comments under her breath. She tried seating us next to another party and my boyfriend wanted some space between us due to covid measures I am a black woman who supports local business. I always thought this was a nice place to eat but after the way their hostess spoke to us the 3 of us will not be returning!! I asked for my meals leftovers to be wrapped up for take home and the blond haired waitress hostess gave me a look like i was getting on her nerves then finally took our meals back to get them ready for take home and when it was brought out she slammed my container down pretty hard. Even if it was a bad day for her i felt unwelcome and unwanted here. Comments were made about us asking for a lot. I own several establishments and let me say any employee acting or speaking that way should be fired. Forget trying to ask these people their names to report it to the owners. Nobody would answer our questions. Shady place i will not be back. 😥 i wish i could say it went different....

We were ushered back to our table, appreciating the wood floors, black ceilings, exposed brick, and upholstered banquette. This place screams fancy yet casual, which is great for a pre-concert crowd. The service was casual, but fine. The only thing is that quiet dinners might consider somewhere else as it gets quite loud in there; one table next to us was particularly loud, and we had trouble hearing each other at the table because of them. We didn't really care, but if you're seeking a quiet, intimate dining experience, this may not be the venue for you. The food ... OMG, the food! We ordered crab cakes for an appetizer, and they were fresh and good, although a tad mushy for my liking, accompanied by a delicious remoulade. Then, to our surprise, the waiter dropped by with a second appetizer we hadn't ordered - a focaccia ring with fresh burrata cheese, roasted tomatoes, shaved Parmesan, and drizzled with honey. Oh. My. Stars! Every bite of this was insanely delectable, and I could have eaten the entire thing myself. All three of us had our eyes roll back in our heads with just one bite! Our entrees arrived - a seabass special for my friends, and Faroe Island Salmon for me - and they were equally amazing. Mine was accompanied by roasted Brussels sprouts. I've never had them before, but my husband - who eats EVERYTHING, does NOT like them, so I thought the chances of MY liking them was slim. Boy, was I wrong! These crispy, sweet roasted sprouts were SO. DARN. GOOD!!! I ate every single one of this generous plate of sprouts and reminded myself to look for a similar recipe because they were that good. The seabass and salmon were equally fresh and delicious too, and the risotto was creamy savory perfection. Read moreWas so excited to reunite with friend's over dinner and give this spot a try. Well it was a flop. The server was very nice BUT we felt rushed the entire time we were there. As we were ordering drinks he suggested we put in apps, which we were not ready for yet. Once he brought the drinks he then asked again for an app order, we gave in and ordered, and now while taking the app order he wanted our dinner order. I asked could we please have some more time, which he agreed but told us he just doesn't want the kitchen to fall behind?? Which I did not understand at all. So of course when he brought the apps he then again asked for our dinner choices, which by now we are annoyed and just gave him our orders. Once dinner came, it was like we were being watch because no sooner than a fork hit the plate, he came over asking if we needed boxes. My husband had ordered a pizza and at that time ate one slice, at this point we just want to leave, so we get the boxes, and decided to go across the street and have drinks and talk. Our reservations were 4:30 and we were paying the check by 5:35. The food is over priced for the flavor. Nothing had seasoning, and there was no salt or pepper on the table which was highly needed in all our dishes. I gave 2 stars because my Apple Pear martini was amazing, and although we were rushed the server was very nice. Just feels like they cared more of flipping tables than the customer having a good experience and for over a 200.00 bill I would have expected more, Sadly disappointment
Update As you can see the owners response below, that for me deserves 2 more starts. Customer Service is everything (to me) and although we felt rushed I always stated our server was good, no complaints on that end, and would love to come in and try again. Thank you for taken the time to respond. Much respect.
