I’m absolutely baffled as to how so many people have given this restaurant positive reviews! Perhaps I caught them on an “off” night! Likely not! I would like to state I tried contacting one of the owners, Julie, but she failed to respond. I left several messages with the restaurant staff and they kept telling me a manager did not exist and only the owners were allowed to “make things right”!! Really?? This has to go down as one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever endured. The calamari was clearly kept in the fryer waaaay too long! Come to think of it, was it even calamari? Was disgusting in fact! The Balsamic chicken dish taste like it sat in water all day along with mushy vegetables and stale potatoes, then heated up in a microwave! Was not only grossly bland, the chicken was beyond edible because it was super tough! The vegetables were so overly saturated with water, they literally disintegrated into a gross liquid when approaching with utensils! The stuffed haddock apparently only got the “stuffed” part and no haddock! The “loaded” nachos as worded on their menu had very few toppings and I would say at least 95% tortilla chips and 5% stale frozen veggies. Wow!! Really?? What little toppings were present were not fresh at all and seemed as if they were retrieved from the garbage can! This place not only lacks In service, but there is absolutely no creativity whatsoever! I’m not sure if they even actually have a “chef”! It seemed more like a three ringed circus side show act with 5th graders preparing the meals!! If you are visiting Plattsburgh, stay far away from this place! If you are looking for an impressive venue for dinner, Lattitude 44° is absolutely amazing!! These folks at Lattitude 44° have actually been professionally trained in the culinary arts! Mickey’s Place is more like bad high school cafeteria food with Mickey Mouse himself preparing the food if you can even call it food!! Needless to say, everything we ordered is now part of a compost pile! Completely lost $130.00 on that pseudo restaurant episode!! Yo Mickey’s Place, send the 5th graders home and leave the culinary arts to the pros!!

Your response is exactly the type of response I would expect from a restaurant like Mickey’s! Place! Just for your information my bill WAS close to $130 once the non-deserved 20% tip was added. Clearly you have no idea what your patrons are even ordering and are just assuming we don’t speak the truth? And yeah your server called my cell phone from the restaurants landline and clearly did not dial “1” first. Obviously the number I provided is absolutely correct otherwise how were you able to leave me a voicemail Tuesday morning??? Wow!! Guess I should not except one to tell the truth when they are so oblivious to their own errors. Now I would like to start off saying our first visit my awesome. We felt welcomed and the food and was amazing. Second visit, while no one was there when we showed up we asked to have a booth seat and wouldn't give us one because of reservations and I was ok the table is fine. Third visit I called and made a reservation like 3 hrs ahead and asked for the corner booth where we had our good experience and they said sure thing but when we got there the hostess said nope sorry that one is already reserved and so we got the one next to it. While being just a little upset about it but it wasn't really a big deal until when we were almost finished and ready to pay an older lady showed up with a friend and sat down there and the hostess says to her geesh it's been a month and we didn't know if you were gonna show up or not. Wow! And so this evening we decided to give them another shot because the food is really that good but I guess I might have had a slight chip on my shoulder and so when we showed up without a reservation and there was only one small family in that famous corner booth. We were told we could only have a table because they have reservations. So with the chip I asked what times are those reservations band stumbled and said 5, 6 & 6:30 for the booths or if we could be done eating before 6:20 we could have a booth when there are 8 booths and it's only 4:56 😠 So long story short we will never return because of the service and sad because the food is really good but we went down to Twisted Carrot and had tremendous service and an even better meal so we recommend spending your...
