I have been ordering food from marks for the last 16 years, and love the food. However since moving to the city and ordering from the Monroe Ave location things have good down hill. Almost every time I order food something wrong or missing. This has been happening for months, but the last 3 times have been terrible. The first time the driver forgot my soda and all the side sauces. He had to come back. The second time the driver brought the wrong soda and had to back. Which is really a huge inconvenience. I order food today. When the drive dropped it off he realized he forgot the soda and said he was going to run to the store to grab one. Which was very nice of him to not keep me waiting. It was nice to see someone cared about costumer service. When I brought the food in I knew right away that is wasn’t hot, it wasn’t even room temperature. Very disappointing. When I check the wings they were cold but warmer than the pizza. I noticed the sides of hot sauce were missing and there was blue cheese instead of ranch which I specified on my order. The pizza was insanely cold and had onions on it. That was my mistake I didn’t realize I hit the wrong button when ordering. The driver came back to drop off the soda which since he got from the store was on shelf not refrigerated so it was warm. Still it was very nice that he did that to not keep me waiting. I called the store to talk with the manager since my order was wrong and it has been consistently. He informed me that I order the pizza wrong which I understand is my fault. When I tried to bring up the fact that my food was cold and I waited a long time to get he he just kept saying deliveries can take around an hour. I understand this but it seemed this time and many times in the recent past that the food was made and then sat for awhile being delivered cold and dry looking. The “manger” was insanely rude on the phone and took no accountability for a far less than mediocre food. He offered me a $15 credit (my whole cold meal and warm 2 liter was over $35$ I told him I didn’t want it because I will not be ordering from them again. He then hung up on me. I have never in my life been treated this way by someone in the hospitality industry. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. I do hate to say I will never order from this establishment again. Read moreWe recently ordered a large pizza and 20 wings, 1/2 mild and 1/2 sweet n' sour. The pizza was not cut through all the way so all the cheese and toppings slid off into the box and the dough was under cooked. The mild wings were so dried out they weren't edible. The sweet n' sour wings had almost no sauce on them and were mushy. There was not even much sauce in the container they came in. We did also get a bottle of soda-best part of the order. Spending $50 on dinner to throw most of it away and then to order Chinese, made for an expensive night in our household. We were going to call and ask for a refund but decided to cut our losses and never order from here again. We based this upon reading so many negative reviews and figured just add one more to the bunch. The price of wings have come way down in price so not understanding why they are still post-COVID pricing. Greed is a horrible thing and it is up to the public to do their part and let merchants know it is not okay. So, rather than eat out more often because it is affordable, we have to keep it to a minimum due to the high cost. So, to have an experience such as this is shameful and letting food go out like this...
Read moreThis place is phenomenal. My girlfriend has gone her entire life thinking that she didn't like Mark's pizza because she never had it from this location, but after trying it from here it's become one of her favorite pizza places, too.
I've been looking for a good replacement for cheesey bread after repeated bad experiences with Domino's, and this place actually has it. Their pizza is also very high quality, their dough is a great mixture of soft and crispy, all the sides I've gotten have been great. I almost never order desserts from Pizza places, but I got their strawberry cheesecake calzone and I'm hooked.
Also noteworthy, the employees seem to take legitimate pride in their work. They thought they'd lost my order yesterday and the person at the front end seemed to actually care that they might have messed up, even after we figured out what happened.
