New City Cafe & Roastery — Restaurant in City of Rochester

My mom, cousin and I were excited to check this place out on Friday. However, we never got the opportunity. We walked in the girl behind just looked at us and I said for 3 people. Again she looked clueless. I said we’re dining in & I asked if we sit ourselves. Since she hasn’t said one word yet. We sat down and waited about 5 minutes. No one came over and there were no menus. My cousin said she had to look around for the menus because once again the girl at the front well behind the counter didn’t assist. We started looking at the menu and another 5 minutes or so went by, no one came. I told them let’s go because clearly they didn’t need or service. I love going to smaller coffee shops and when I discovered this one I had to go. Amazing! The food was excellent. My husband and I got the vegan breakfast sandwich and a waffle to split. The coffee (I am very picky) one of the best I have ever had!! We got the large chemex of the Mexican. The pastries looked delicious on the case. The atmosphere and decor was so peaceful and cute. The ultimate coffee shop vibe! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful since it was the first time going. We loved it so much we went the very next Friday! Even better the second time. The prices, you can't beat it for how delicious the food and coffee was. Literally payed 20 dollars (and a little extra for a nice tip for the great staff)....

Just came here, and this place is so adorable. To start the staff working here are diverse, which is something I can appreciate. The establishment is very clean and spacious, and the staff working are super friendly ❤️ My best friend an I came here in a whim just searching to local coffee spots and this one had a 4.8 star rating. I got the Iced Turtle Latte, which tasted yummy no sugar or cream needed. It's a little thicker due to the chocolate and caramel but I enjoyed it very much. On the other side they have a good size seating area with a couch lounge area and a place to play chess/checkers. Overall, nice experience and I hope to visit again soon.
