I placed an order for Railroad Street Diner through DoorDash. When my delivery driver arrived, they were told that they do not do “Uber Eats” on Saturdays and my driver put me on the phone with them. The woman at the restaurant asked me “What are you? DoorDash or Uber Eats?” I said that I placed an order thru DoorDash and their restaurant was showing as available. (They also confirmed my order thru DoorDash). The woman on the phone who worked at the restaurant was extremely rude. She spoke to me as if I knew their DoorDash schedule or had any affect on whether their restaurant shows as available on the app. She said that they called DoorDash to let them know they’re not taking orders on Saturdays. I was very disappointed and let her know that I don’t know her restaurant’s DoorDash schedule, have never eaten their food, and their restaurant shows as available on the app. I also let her know that I probably wouldn’t be eating their food in the future because I was not enjoying our interaction. She said “Neither am I. Goodbye.” If this is how their staff speaks to customer, they do not need to be in customer service. A shameful experience. I had to call DoorDash for a refund and let them know their were very rude.
