On hearing the owners of Revelry were opening a new "dive" bar, a friend and I went to the first night. Ugh. Ziggy's is a dive bar like Appleby's is a neighborhood bar. The interior had all the charm of a discount tire store but way louder. The weak beer and cocktail selection was higher priced than most places on East Avenue. The food was expensive for the paltry portions served. There was nothing divey, neighborly or original about this place. If Jon Taffer's petit bourgeois creations are your idea of a good watering hole, or Bar Louie seemed authentic to you, this is your place. They have blue cow girl hats, mini beer shots (must try) chicken wing dip, and a rotating frozen cocktail.
