The food here was just ok. Nothing to rave about. I had blueberry pancakes, but they didn't have blueberries baked in like typical blueberry pancakes, it was just blueberry pie filling folded into the pancake like a taco. It wasn't very good and was a total sugar overload so that I couldn't even come close to finishing it! They are also cash only so be prepared. This place also definitely draws a very specific type of crowd, the senior citizens. The place was almost full and with the exception of a handful of us, everyone else were seniors. Surprisingly these seniors were a fairly raucous crowd and were very loud and talking over each other. We couldn't really carry on a decent conversation at our table because they were so loud. I'd say this may have been a fluke, but the waitress knew everyone at the table by name and I heard them make comments about their weekly meals together so I assume they are a regular part of the atmosphere there. It has a cute local vibe to it and all, but I still wouldn't...

Terrible! Went for Sunday breakfast. There was one young man serving beverages that was EXCELLENT and should be given more responsibility! Other than that the whole experience was an exercise in frustration! The tables are too close together to sit comfortably back-to-back with other guests. Customers go into the food prep area to bus their own tables. Your order is taken based on whatever table the waitress wanders over to who NO regard to who arrived first, so it can easily take a half hour just to order and then we were greeted with a very terse "what do ya want". For an order of 2 omelets we waited well over an hour. Then another 15 minutes while she struggled to figure the bill for 2 omelets, 2 coffees & an order of hashbrowns. The coffee was just ok, the juice watered down, the omelets were good but certainly not good enough to out weigh the horrendous...

Went in with a party of 5 and was not greeted nicely. It was a situation where many locals were without power due to recent storm and the place was packed and had people waiting. Staff were not receptive to ANY more customers let alone a large group. Most would think they would be grateful for the business. The one waitress was rude, disrespectful and was complaining about too many people and the fact that they were running low on supplies. She actually stated that she would tell customers to "go away, were out of food". There was no understanding from her for the situation that people were in. It was my first time ever in the building and after her comments we left to go to Rosie's Diner in Oriskany and was treated wonderfully. Will not ever attempt to go to the Iron...

They only accept cash or checks. I don't get this place, we just left a different restaurant that said the same thing. But here we just gave up and stayed. At the end of the day the experience here was just fine. It isn't the most comfy place for me personally, but it is basic not bad quality standard breakfast food. You won't find anything overly crafty or extra high quality, but the people were nice and the food was fine. If for some reason you have cash on hand, or don't mind using the ATM next to the table, this place would be fine. The coffee is standard not great typical old school breakfast place coffee, to which you'll happily add milk to smooth it out.

I love diners and breakfast spots and of course deli’s. I was in town visiting a friend stayed the night and of course we needed to go out and have some breakfast and he recommended we try this spot. Let me start off by stating this is an old-school retro breakfast spot if you’re not into that type of thing and you’re looking for flashy modern furniture this is not the place to go if you want good home cooking food that you would make it home this is the spot you go to where the locals go Service was amazing, the food was great. We both ordered omelettes. It has a cool vibe inside and you can watch the action of your food being cooked while sitting down.

My husband got the Spanish omlete and home fries and was VERY happy. I got the fish fry that comes with fries and coleslaw. We added an order of onion rings. The fish was not good. I was hoping it would be a good beer battered kind, but it was more like a fish nugget. (shredded mealy fish with a breadcrumb crust). Waitress very kindly refunded it after I decided I couldn't eat it. The fries were good though. Onion rings were frozen ones, OK. Cute place though. I think the more "fresh" items are going to be good, just know a good portion is frozen basics. We might go back again if we are working in the area.
