update myself and 2 others have been blocked due to the review left on Facebook as well. And looking at past reviews from people it seems like this establishment has a trend for being rude to anyone who has a complaint no matter the caliber. Asking people if they want a job ..telling people to go somewhere else. Being busy and short staffed is expected in this industry. If you want to be respected and treated with compassion don’t you think the customer does too? If the staff was welcoming and kind most will look over slow service and mistakes…but this was not the case and is proven even more by actions like blocking instead of holding your staff and yourself accountable.
Had breakfast here this week and we walked in were told someone would be with us in a moment...fast forward 15 mins of standing at the door (plenty of tables open) we were sat. Waitress brought over all the drinks except mine. Then it took 15 more minutes to take our order. I asked for a very crispy fried egg and that I like it to be burnt! To which the waitress said that's fine and wrote down "over hard" apparently I then asked for my drink again. After almost 30 minutes our food was brought out and the egg was not how I requested, a crispy Burnt fried egg (which is fine! I understand mistakes and being busy! they weren't THAT busy) instead of apologizing the waitress said "we don't burn eggs"... she then took my entire plate brought it to the back then 10 mins later I was brought a "sprite" after a 3rd attempt it was a water. The food then came back everything was cold and the fried egg was the same one I have put my used fork on back on the grill and again did not cook it how l asked.we did not feel welcomed even if it had been busy it still nice when you are paying being met with kindness..
Y'all need to brush up on your basic customer service etiquette cause this...
Read moreRaspberry Stuffed French Toast Though the name would suggest that you may expect to find fruit, mainly Raspberries in between your french toast, you will find raspberry flavored cream cheese spread thinly between slices of french toast. No berries.
Our visit began with the my asking our waitress what the specials were to which she responded that the specials were on the sign by the door where we entered, behind us. When I agreed and asked what they were, she said there is no way I can list all of them..it will take forever and then proceeded to drag the sign over to our booth still behind me so I needed to adjust my seating to begin reading it. Now, while this appeared to be a strange approach, it would not ruin a meal and it might be a good idea to write a list of specials to have on hand when taking orders. The waitress may be a little inexperienced so I cannot say this applies to all of the wait staff.
When asking if everything was good, I explained my misunderstanding about the raspberry stuffed French toast, asking if the sign mentioned it was raspberry flavored cream cheese. She stated it did not and politely removed it from our bill without a request.
They are very quick to cash you out. I saw this across numerous guests including my table of two.
It has been a long time since my last visit. I can say of my five sporadic visits over the years, I have never been completely satisfied with the food preparation. This is not the experience I have at other establishments.
My companion ordered a muffin. Unexpectedly she received it cut in half toasted and with butter. Not a terrible idea, just unexpected, no indication of how it would be served and further prepared. All said and done we spent $15.xx plus tip for 4 scrambled eggs, small OJ, cinnamon muffin, 1 cup coffee and 2...
Read moreLet me tell you a phenomenal story about Raspberries, on Chestnut St, in Rome, NY. I'm originally from Rome and come in to visit family every July. I always plan a cousins breakfast for about 30 relatives. Without first checking with Raspberries, I "assumed" they couldn't hold the size party we would be. I called another place and reserved us for 30, Thursday morning, 7/15 @ 9:30. The night before the event, the other place called me with apologies and had to cancel because of a last minute problem. I panicked! I picked another day, Monday, 7/19 @ 9:30 and finally tried Raspberries on Chestnut because they are around the corner from my sisters where I was staying. Low and behold, they could accommodate us and would reserve our tables. Problem solved?? You would think....but....nope!
Monday morning comes, around 8:00, and I get a call from Raspberries confirming our reservation on "Commercial Drive"!! What??? I said I made reservations for Rome....long story short, I called the wrong one!!
I drove immediately to the one in Rome. Jamie, the manager, heard my dilemma; and even tho she was going to be the 'only' Server, she immediately agreed to take on the task and relieve me of this stressful situation. She was amazing!! In one hour - 1 1/2 hours, our orders were taken, coffee served, meal served, and bills paid!! Orders perfect and everything delicious! Tell me that's not phenomenal!?!! Thank you, Jamie, from the bottom of my heart for saving the day for my relatives and myself. ...
