Don't Let Ambiance Deter You: Wish Thai Delivers Exceptional Dine-In and Takeout Experiences We bought a camp on Lake Ontario, and after a long week and an hour's drive, we usually get in around 7 pm on Friday, leaving us exhausted and uninterested in cooking. We stumbled upon Wish Thai in Watertown with little expectation. As a vegan, I always look for restaurants that cater to my dietary preferences while delivering authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine. Wish Thai not only met my expectations but surpassed them in many ways.
Upon entering the restaurant, the ambiance may not immediately capture your attention. However, do not let that deter you. The true beauty of Wish Thai lies in the exceptional dine-in and takeout experiences they offer. While the interior may not boast extravagant decor, the focus here is on the food and the fantastic staff that brings it to life.
Marlee, our waitress, is always outstanding. Her warm smile, attentive nature, and genuine care added an extra touch of hospitality to our dining experience. Interacting with the staff and even the owner made the visit all the more enjoyable.
Now, let's talk about the food. Wish Thai's menu boasts a variety of traditional Thai dishes, and they offer a selection of vegan options. As someone who appreciates authentic flavors, I was delighted to find that the dishes at Wish Thai remained true to the essence of Thai cuisine. The spices were well-balanced, and the ingredients were fresh and thoughtfully prepared. As a vegan, be careful and ask questions. Some things are seemingly vegan but aren't. I love the Param Tofu (I substitute steamed tofu). The peanut sauce differs from any other, and I could eat it by the spoonful. Another standout dish, and my husband's go-to, is the Green Curry, a creamy and aromatic delight filled with fresh vegetables and fragrant jasmine rice. The curry paste's richness and coconut milk's creaminess resulted in a truly satisfying dish. You can customize the dish to your desired level of spiciness, though I recommend hot.
Whether you dine in or opt for takeout, Wish Thai delivers excellence. While the ambiance may not be the highlight, interacting with the fantastic staff and owner is truly rewarding. Their dedication and passion for their craft shine through in every dish. mpany of the incredible...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at wish thai restaurant, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the stage for an authentic Thai experience.
The menu offered an extensive selection of dishes, each bursting with vibrant flavors and meticulously crafted. I started with the garlic chicken stir fry, which had the perfect balance. The Pad Thai was a revelation, with the noodles cooked to perfection.the highlight of the meal was the hot basil chicken fried rice.
The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The portions were generous, ensuring that no one leaves hungry.
To complement the meal, I tried the Thai iced tea, which was a sweet and creamy indulgence that paired beautifully with the spicier dishes.
Overall, wish thai restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. The dedication to authentic flavors, exceptional service, and inviting ambiance make it a standout choice for anyone craving an unforgettable Thai dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly...
Read moreUpdate Worse pad thai I've ever had. The fried rice was really good. The massaman is good. I waited an hour to get our food, so i took it to go. I haven't eaten here in a couple of years. It'll probably be that again. They did lower their prices. Massaman was $15 instead of $20. If the Massaman is good, I'll order for pick-up. The Chinese restaurant in front of the mall makes a better pad thai. As far as service, It's not good. We waited an hour for food. She came at 45 minutes to see if we needed a refill. I went to pay after an hour and 15 minutes and still didn't get my food.
Honestly, if you're craving Thai food, go to Syracuse.
I've had thai food from a lot of different places all over the U.S.. the food is good. Definitely not the best, but it's not the worst either. But this is the most expensive place I've ever ordered from. It cost me $19.38 for massaman curry. I couldn't believe it when they told me how much. I had to double-check the menu. That's ridiculous! I told them I wouldn't be ordering...
