Not sure what kind of review people expect of a park but here goes: If you like walking/jogging there are paths all over (both paved and natural ones worn down with use) in open areas or thru wooded sections. The zoo is nice but small (I prefer to go to Syracuse zoo). Some overlook areas provide nice scenic views of surroundings. Large play ground is new (old wooden set was replaced) with all you expect at a park, slides, swings, things to climb and run around. New splash zone is quite nice for younger kids (or anyone feeling hot) to get soaked and run around. Sadly the large pool is being repaired (though I have not seen or heard much on actual progress lately) so will not be open. Like any other public place its only as clean as the people that use it so may be littered though I think crews work very hard to maintain all aspects...
Read moreWould go here to fly my drone when i was on active duty stationed at Fort Drum. The worst thing about this park are the seaguls. you cannot have food here because the seaguls will attack you and try to take your food. They swoop low you need a baseball bat to defend yourself. You think im playing go their with some hot cooked food and see for yourself. When the park gets crowded its difficult to navigate by vehicle. Im not a people person so i stay away from large crowds but hey you may be the opposite. its a good park to fly your drone though. its a higher elevation than the surrounding land so you should get good reception. people have dogs running around here so dont fly low a dog may destroy your thousand...

The playground is large and safe, kids had a great time, benches and shade trees all round.
The public toilets in the park are pretty awful, it's a toss-up whether they're worse than the toilets near the splash-park.
There's a water tower which my kids found fascinating, and nearby, across the road, there's a monument to the 10th Mountain at Fort Drum.
Good for the kids, not much for the adults, but the park is well maintained and clean (apart from...
