The serice was friendly and made ya feel like you were at a friends house. Teresa was our server and was the best part of the experience. But the food... It started with the coffee. It was burned and old. But she made a new pot and that was delicious lol. But here is where it went downhill. For the reputation this place has and for the price of the food you would expect high quality. But it was all factory, mass produced, cheap food. The chicken strips were bland and cheap. My daughters fries were cheap. I had the spicey fries. Honestly they delivered lol. They were actually spicey. Without the seasoning they would also have been flavorless as they too were cheap. My daughter had the pasta with butter sauce. I tried it and was not impressed with the butter sauce. It is that stuff you would brush on toast in a hurry just to plate food and get it out. Not something that should be used as an actual sauce. My burger was decent!! The rye bread was good but had that cheap butter sauce stuff on it. The burger actually kinda tasted like fresh burger and not frozen patties. So if it was frozen I did not pick up on it through the flavorless bread and fake butter. The appetizer was their pretzel sticks and beer cheese. It was what you would expect. Not impressive but definitely took the spotlight. I know this review comes across as harsh. I almost never complain. It takes hair or underdone meat for me to complain. But I spent almost $50 for food that should have cost half the price. Teresa was perfect. I went to the Friday night fish fry. We sat down at a table and it took 40 minutes for the waitress to come over to take our drink orders. During that time, 3 other tables walked out for a total of 10 people. I noticed an older couple getting their baked potato the same time they were asking for to go containers to leave. After our order was taken, it took another 30 minutes to get our dinners. I noticed another table that came in after our table had their food and was ready to leave before we even got our order taken for our food. When our food came, the fish and ff were very good, but then my boyfriend found a hair in his tartar sauce. I told the waitress and all she did was say sorry there was no discount taken off the meal for finding a hair in our food. Our food was delivered with no coleslaw and when I asked the waitress if coleslaw was included, she said yes. Do you want some? Of course we want some, we paid for it! We asked for ketchup and finally after waiting we just grabbed ketchup off another table. That is after we checked 4 other tables that had empty bottles of ketchup sitting on it like ours. We stayed at the resort for the weekend. For the convenience we walked over for dinner. They were not even busy and the service was so slow. Our server was so unprofessional, our order was wrong, she never came back to refill our drinks or check to see how our food was until we were almost done. However, with that being said the food was good. We decided to give them another try and went back the next evening, maybe it was just a bad night. It was a bad idea. We were completely ignored until my husband went to the bar and asked for some drinks, he told the bartender we had sat there for 20 minutes and were never acknowledged. She took it upon herself to wait on us. It took two hours for burgers and fries but Cindy was awesome and took care of us.
