My partner wanted BBQ and we don’t have many places to choose from in our area so I googled BBQ and we found this hidden gem. I’d like to start with the Owner Mo can hang, he is a extremely personable person who can play around take a joke and tell a few of his own. The sauces in the photos are not standard bottled sauce. Each one has been reinvented to truly fulfill it’s purpose and flavor profile. We chose the rack of ribs, wings, brisket, Mac, and a play on the Reuben. For sauces we had the spicy bbq, habanero reduction and the ghost pepper Buffalo sauce. The ribs tasted like they were rubbed in Chinese 5 spice and brown sugar. They were meaty and delicious stand alone. I tried them with the spicy BBQ it was a good pairing. I wish I had tried them with the Korean bbq sauce. The wings were huge and the ghost pepper Buffalo didn’t disappoint. The brisket was fall apart and delicious. My only reservation was the Reuben, I wished the slaw was vinegar based and the sauce was a ketchup based sauce and caraway seeds would have hit the spot to get the rye flavor. That aside it’s the best bbq in area. Thanks Mo for such a great experience Nana...

Read moreA BBQ joint in Claremont. Wow! Decor was the best part of this experience. The menu leaned heavily on the 86. It was Sunday and since the sidewalks were still rolled up mid-afternoon it was probably not indicative of what this place has to offer. Frugal to no heating meant freezing cold plates and quickly cold food. A coats on dining experience like ice fishing without a hut. The ribs were well smoked and cooked but chef's rub was heavy on cinnamon which my wife is not fond of except in baked goods. Brisket was tasty. The sloppy Momo was dry as the Mac n cheese lacked cheese. Reuben really missed his cole slaw. Limited to no sauce selection a la 86 was discouraging. My wife won't give it another try. I would ask around as to what day is their best and give it another shot. Take out might...
