Daily Grind Cafe — Restaurant in Claremont

We arrived just before 11am for a late breakfast and we got our food at noon. We were not greeted when we arrived and the staff looked very busy. We waited as there was a line. However we were seated within 5 minutes. The bus person sat us, but didn’t offer us any drinks. We waited at least 10 min for our server to come over. The other server had two tables after us and they had menus and drinks in front of them. The bus person was getting drinks for some tables. Our server then walked through the dining area with two bags of garbage. Never stopped back over to let us know why the food was taking so long or offer more drinks. Three table that sat after us had their meals before ours. The folks who came in 10-15 minutes after us was served the same time we got our food. I'm not typically one to write reviews, but after having breakfast at Daily Grind Cafe in Claremont NH this morning, I simply have to. This was my first time at the Daily Grind, and when I walked in every seat was filled except for the counter. When I took a spot at the counter, the waitress warned me of what I was already thinking, that the kitchen was backed up and that it would be a bit of a wait for food. Well, I wasn't even through the first cup of coffee when it came out, about 12 minutes !! Very impressed. But it was after taking the first bite of my Meat Lovers Omelet and Hash Browns, that I was completely hooked !! Their flavors were far superior to the other popular breakfast place on Washington St. Fresh, HOT, and Delicious !! There's not much for "atmosphere", but it's a breakfast place, not high end dining. I was truly impressed! I went in with no expectations, but I left with a to-go order that completely blew me away. I ordered the brown sugar French toast with homemade hash, and it was fantastic. I almost want to say the hash had a hint of garlic flavor, or maybe it was onion powder, but either way, it was delicious. The texture was perfect—not greasy at all. The French toast was also cooked perfectly. I'm quite picky when it comes to breakfast, so this meal was definitely a hit. I will certainly be going back in the future!

However, there is one drawback to mention regarding the quantity of the dishes. The serving sizes weren't very large, so you might need to order extra of some items.
