We originally had only gone in for a burrito expecting more of a take out experience but were promptly sat down by the host. Kids were given coloring books and crayons while the adults were given menus. The amount of stuff on the menu was surprising and were aptly described so you knew what you were ordering. Once ordered the food was brought out in what I would describe as being quicker than the local fast food joints, so another surprise! Not to mention the quality of the food, It was plated well and tasted AMAZING!! Our server was very friendly and was constantly stopping by (along with the host) to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and make sure our drinks were refilled.
Unfortunately we don't get out for dinner as much as we used to but our experience here was 10/10 and we plan to come back to experiment with some of the other menu items.
I find myself trying to nitpick now to find something that wasn't to our satisfaction... and nope. Everything here was above par for restaurants in the area and I recommend this for all my family and friends.
Thank you Rancho Viejo for a very enjoyable dinner...
Read moreThis was really, really good. When I read the menu online, they had me with the fact that they used cabbage and radishes instead of lettuce as garnish and side. The real meal didn't disappoint. Juicy and flavorful, my husband had the chicken molé. Light and sweet, this molé was a far cry from thick gloppy molés in other restaurants, even if you can find it. I had the Quesa Birria Tacos. Again, it is something you do not find on most Mexican restaurant menus. I recommend this highly. With both entrees, they do not skimp on the meat. Just a hint, pour some of the dipping sauce on your rice, followed by the red beans in sauce, and mix it all together. Yum! Better than refried beans. I agree with a previous reviewer. The service is great. Very attentive. There is no need to ask for more salsa. It just appeared. The decor is also tasteful. No dusty turist sombreros, serapes, and piñatas. Clean and neat. We will be coming back soon. We had been looking for a new local Mexican restaurant as our previous favorites went downhill during Covid and stayed that way. Try this restaurant. It IS really,...
Read moreWe ordered takeout over the phone on a Wednesday afternoon and received exactly what we ordered. Our entrees were in sturdy foil pans with lids, all wet items--beans, queso, salsa--were sealed in cups with lids, and the chips came in a brown paper lunch bag. The entire meal was packed into a plastic bag with handles. The food was fresh and delicious! The chimichangas here are more like a burrito and feature ground beef rather than shredded. Although not what we were expecting, they were delicious. The rice and beans were also tasty. The portions are large--I only ate half of my food. My husband ate his entire meal, and it filled him up. Food prices are competitive and an excellent value compared to any other lunch spot in town. The menu has several unique offerings. Highly recommended for takeout meals.
The dining room was clean and quiet (carpeted), the staff was fantastic, and the music and decor were both as expected. We would probably choose to eat in another time based on what we saw when picking...
