Sick and tired of being stereotyped as I walk into the Clarksburg, Wv McDonald's. Im a young tattoed male who works hard every single day, yet because of my outward appearance and fact that i carry a bookbag with me each day, the emoloyees (managers mostly) continiously tell me i must leave if im not making a purchase. Today was no different. I walked up to the main door of the store and walked towards the drive thru to finish my cigarette before entering. My friend headed inside to place his order. The manager on duty passed my friend on her way out to tell me that I had to leave the store. She told me i wasn't allowed to smoke my cigarette there, and since i didn't order anything, I wasnt welcome at their store. I began to tell her i was there to order something, and was actually waiting on my friend to come out with his order, but she rolled her eyes, and shut the door in my face well before I could get anything more than "well Ma'am" out of my mouth. I undsrstand the "loitering" issues this store has been dealing with lately, but I am not, nor do I look like any of the problematic people that loiter and cause problems at this location. I guess I shouldn't be angry, but when I consistantly get "stereotyped" as a local "drug addict" treated very poorly, looked down upon, told to leave the location, and doors shut in my face, that justifies my anger and makes me realize that I no longer need to show support for this particular local business. Wendys is half a block down the street, and have never made me feel as though my business didn't count, wasn't wanted/needed and have never had the door shut in my face! There are some serious issues concerning "customer care" & "customer satisfaction " at Mcdonalds. Sadly, they have lost my business/support, I may not return to a McDonald's ever again because of today. I hope my honest review helps someone at some point when deciding whether to visit this...
Read moreOne of the reasons I can't give the west pike st McDonald's 5 stars is issues like when I was sitting inside this location (w. Pike st) and decided to order another sandwich from the app which was how I ordered my meal in the first place and when I went up front to get it they didn't have it and said it was ordered from a mcdonalds much farther away and said I had to go there. It would have cost way more than the sandwich cost to drive there so I was out of luck. Not to mention it seems they always seem lost when you walk inside to pick up a mobile order and have to start making it after you arrive. There are some managers who do a better job managing one of them named Kelly you will have a better experience if she is working and also why I still give 4 stars otherwise the review would have fewer stars. The GM seems to do a great job also when he's there so I keep going back mostly morning to afternoon when there's a good chance one of the two I mentioned are working. Anyways I hope this helps someone. Have a blessed day...

It's like any other store. Sometimes they're under-staffed. Sometimes they're busy. But honestly the people here work really hard.
Because of it's downtown location, it may not always have the best people in the lobby but the managers there play no games! If they're loitering, having backpacks, or are suspected of drugs, cops are called IMMEDIATELY. They're tired of the drug users giving their place a bad reputation.
The workers try to keep the store clean and lately the lobby has been almost always cleaned. Their may be one or two dirty tables but that's about it. Granted, during a rush, the store may have a mini-tornado come through it but the clean-up after is swift.
Not only is it family-friendly, it's great to go hangout with a friend at. It's just a positive atmosphere and the people always have smiles on their faces.
Also, if something is wrong, they'll fix it quickly. They're never rude.
Clarksburg McDonald's is definitely worth mine...
