This whole experience was a huge huge huge let down. I’m pregnant and have been craving chicken parmigiana sooooo bad. So we decided to try this place out based off of reviews. We get to the restaurant and it’s cute inside and the hostess is super nice. We get to our table and sit down and the table is so far from the booth that you have to sit on the very edge of the booth to reach the table. We start to look over our menus and pick out our drink and appetizers and at this point we still haven’t been greeted by our server. So we go ahead and pick out our entrees, still wasn’t greeted. 12 minutes went by and still not greeted or brought bread or anything. The hostess comes over to seat another table directly behind us so I stop her and ask if she knows who our server is because no one has came by and we have been waiting a while. She apologized and said she would find out. She came back to the table and said I’m so sorry there is just a lot going on right now and they will be right over, there were 6 other tables there and all of them already had their food so I’m not sure what was going on. About 3 minutes later we were approached by a man and he brought out 3 small pieces of bread for our table and some herbs and olive oil. He took our drink orders and they didn’t have the beer my husband wanted. We ordered our garlic cheese bread for an appetizer, and ordered the kids lasagna and 2 chicken parmagina. After I ordered my pasta I asked if a salad comes with it and the waiter said no and looked at me like I was crazy. I’ve never been to an Italian place that didn’t have a salad with the entree. So we wait for the garlic cheese bread and it finally came out. The edges of the bread were black and there was ZERO flavor of garlic. It was plain bread with cheese on top served with some sauce that tasted as plain as tomato soup. I was still holding out hope for the pasta we ordered at this point. Our pasta comes and the chicken was totally burnt around the edges from what we could see. I tasted the spaghetti and it had zero flavor. I tried to cut the chicken and eat it with the pasta and it was so hard and burnt all over. The only flavor that was present was burnt crumbs. My husbands was exactly the same way. I also have never been to a place that serves pasta with no bread. My daughters lasagna looked okay until we cut into it. The inside looked like someone had pre chewed it and it was awful. The noodles were mush and it was floating in grease. We were never brought refills, they never took empty dishes from the table, we were never brought extra napkins and never brought more bread. I ate like 5 bites and my daughter ate 3. We took the food in to go boxes to see if anyone at home would eat it since we spent 80.00 but they refused so we threw it away. I have NEVER been so disappointed in a restaurant in my life. We will never be back and I will make it a point to tell everyone I know to stay away as well. The fact this place has 4.7 stars is completely mind blowing to me. I attached a photo of the “mush” in my daughters lasagna...
Read moreMy fiance and I both agree that there is absolutely no way these reviews are real. It had to be generated through a 3rd party
We checked other reviews in disbelief and finally stumbled on something that caught our eye; They forgot to delete their "chatGPT" on one of their responses.
ChatGPT and 3rd party businesses are becoming increasingly well known for generating fake reviews online to mislead customers, mainly on platforms like Google and amazon. Since this is the only Italian restaurant in the area, the placebo effect is real. Please be aware that Google map reviews is a lawless land and will not even bother to remove fake reviews.
Please don't be manipulated or deceived by this place. Heck, I feel like you can look at the food pictures in these reviews and know 4.7 at 1k+ reviews is unfathomable.
Please, I want you to try this place! I beg you to go to this place and try it for yourself. Just don't be fooled into going back based off the reviews after your experience.
We have gone back 3 times; we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt based off all of the great reviews within a 2 year time frame. I would love to even have an "okay" Italian restaurant near me, but when it comes to the food; This is not it!
If you want the real reviews of this place, please filter by 1-3 stars. You will see compared to the 5 star reviews, something obviously doesn't add up. I'm furious that reputable and honest businesses have to compete with another business who hire out a 3rd party to do fake Google reviews.
Below I attached the picture. Hopefully any others that felt gaslighted by these reviews after trying out this place can have come comfort and know you are not alone lol. Don't be a sucker and make multiple visits like we did. Try it once so you can make your own decision and don't be tempted with all these fake reviews.
This is fazolis overpriced and genuinely, not even as good. This doesn't add up at all.
edit: in response to the owners reply; I didn't assume, I presumed. A simple Google search and a little digging confirms that within the last couple of years, Google is not efficient, and/or not concerned at detecting and deleting fake reviews for local small businesses. There's increasingly more and more posts discussing 3rd party generated 5 star reviews all over the web. Regardless, this post is to help pull those from the twilight zone and to put into perspective what is potentially actually happening here. Please, I invite you; just go eat there and decide yourself. ( I feel like you can even tell from the pictures. The food tastes like it looks in these pics.) I personally had the rubber band calamari and the clam shell wet ramen noodles myself. I recommend the spagetti-o sauce. You can still taste the tin from the can.
I'll conclude with saying; the truth always comes out in the end, it's just a matter of time. I hope someone out there found this useful and the legitimate businesses in the area are still able to thrive just the same with competitors using...
Read moreIt was First time at this restaurant and I will say I enjoyed myself and my overall experience .upon arrival I was served bread and(my assumption) seasoned olive oil. The bread was a delicious and fluffy mix between a garlic knot and what seemed to be yeast rolled that married perfectly with the seasoned olive oil. Next I started off with the calamari fritti and let me say it was some of the best fried calamari I’ve had in Clarksville thus far. Its light buttery breading complimented the tender squid (not at all over cooked or rubbery)which was lightly seasoned with red pepper flakes and topped with parsley. My waitress recommended I order a glass of chilled sweet Moscato to go with my lobster ravioli. The ravioli I can say was ok (2/4 stars for me) because the ravioli in my opinion was a little too al dente for my liking. Also, I wish the ravioli had a little more filling it wasn’t enough lobster to ravioli ratio in my opinion, there were bits of shell I picked out of ravioli I’m guessing were missed during the preparation of it but The sauce however was delicious and flavorful very tasty (enjoyed dipping the bread in the sauce added another level to how good the garlic bread was in my opinion) the meal itself would have been better if it was slightly hotter when it came out. I’m not sure if the pasta is made to order or premade prior and all put together once ordered by a patron but I would have been able to enjoy it more if it were hot rather then what seemed to be “warmed”. For dessert I ordered the crème brûlée and for it being my first time having the dessert I will say it was EXCELLENT the airy, sweet custard was sooooooo rich and creamy topped with the flambéed sugar was a wow factor for me that I really enjoyed. Lastly the only other negative note I’d have for this place were the FLIES. It seemed every bite I took was followed by swatting and fighting off what seemed to a group of flies (I did sit infront of the window not sure if that contributed to how much they flew by ?) it seemed like such a calm and quiet eatery but they started to irritate me after fighting with them it seemed like every dish that was brought out . Granted it is Understandable that it is only so much a restaurant can do to combat pest but picking up the Parmesan shaker to see a fly fully submerged and enjoying the cheese too is where the line has to be drawn. When I let my server know she actually stated “oh I’m sorry that happens a lot” It was a really nice place until I saw that and it def soured my experience tremendously. And I hope they get a handle on that issue. I would def go back but maybe in a cooler time of the year where there’s less flies and...
