I don't know what happened to this place. It used to be so awesome. I went with friends yesterday 11/24 at around 2:00 to try their buffet. It was sad and pathetic at best. They offered few items and most looked old and dried out. I couldn't believe they didn't even have tortillas on their buffet line. It was just a bunch of fajita stuff, rice, dried out refried beans and some toppings and sauces. I don't know what it cost cause I didn't pay, but if it was more than $5 it was too much. The hostess/waitress was terrible. Not once did she come to check on our table or fill our drinks. The manager ( I think) came by and asked how everything was. My friend asked for a refill on his drink which took forever to get. The rest of us never got a refill. When we were about done the hostess/waitress came by asked if we wanted refills, I said yes, Sprite and she said ok and never came back with the drink. When we finally did get ready to leave my friend went to the register to pay and let them know that we were disappointed with the service and never received the refill which they offered a to go cup. He said too little too late. I just walked out. I can't believe the change in this place. It used to be one of my favorite, now it's actually the worst. El Toro had a much better buffet too bad they don't offer it anymore. If something doesn't change soon, Los Hermanos will be out of business. I will definitely NOT be going back for that sad excuse for a buffet. I'll be going down the road to El...
Read moreThis place was absolutely great! The food was yummy. I was happy to see this was not a HOT plate Mexican food place. All the food was fresh and delicious. The portions were also very good. The dish I had was very good with the ratios perfect. The meat consisted of Chicken, Steak, and Chorizo Sausage mixed with veggies. The meat to veggie ratio was perfect as to not let the bitterness of the green peppers to overpower the flavors. The meats were perfectly cooked and not dry. The chips and salsa were also very good. The chips tasted very fresh and house made. The salsa as well was very well balanced in flavor and tasted house made as well. I had the Enchilada and it was just perfect. It also tasted fresh and had a very good sauce that covered it. The sauce was not typical of the red sauce you usually find and with very well seasoned beef it was actually one of the best and unique enchiladas I have ever had. The re fried beans were average in flavor and I would like to have seen a bit of smokey flavor in them to come up to par with the rest of the dish. They were still good none the less. The tortillas were very fresh and tasted homemade as well. The menu was extensive and had things on it not typical in most places like this. The place was clean and the staff members were very friendly and helpful with all of my questions and service. The prices were on average or below considering the quality of food and service received. This is a place I would return to often and definitely worth...
Read moreWe tried this place for the first and last time today, so, let me begin by saying that the service was good, but that's where the good experience ended. We had the burrito loco, and the combo platter, along with the guacamole casero. The beans and rice were bland, as if they had not been seasoned at all, the same with the so called hot sauce that I asked for expecting a bottle, but getting 2 small bowls of chili paste that were un flavorful, that I was charged 2 dollars for. The combo plate looks quite large as well as the burrito. But of the items on the combo, 3 were made of the same filler meat, that tasted absolutely horrible of the sickly sweet flavor associated with rotting meat, the chilli rellenos and the tamale were the only thing on the plate that were even remotely edible, and the amount of guacamole that came with it on a pile of shredded lettuce was about 1 teaspoon. The guacamole casero was ok and the ingredients seemed fresh, and the burrito loco was edible but bland. The sweet tea had to be switched to coke because of the bitter flavor. When I mentioned the problems to the waitress, I was told that next time I should inform them that the seasoning wasn't sufficient last time and they would add some Adobo. For 50 dollars for 2 to eat I expected much better than this. There are so many other better options than this place, I recommend...
