12/17/18 was the WORST SERVICE ever by JOSA J the manager at the Bar. I have been at this restaurant plenty of times and this same bar tender has ALWAYS been RUDE. Does not GREET but after today I'm sure he will!! The other staff has always been nice and friendly. I ordered a to-go order $50 for 11 regular beef tacos (over priced for one,right?) but not a problem. I called in my order at first so I could have a short wait and needed to feed my family that was in the car. Josa J answered the phone and placed me on hold for about 4 minutes I could hear him moving around so I hung up the phone and assumed he had forgot I was on the phone and perhaps it could've been busy, even though it was Monday. When I walked into the place the women at the front greeted with a smile and directed me to the bar, then I see him again, the place had one guy at the bar who had already been served so he was good, then it was me. I looked at him and smiled and said "Hi my name is " and I had a to to go order but you never picked the phone back up. I asked him " may I have a menu?' He glanced at me and handed me a menu not even acknowledging me as a customer (no eye contact). By the time I had already started having second thoughts about not eating there because of his bad service for the SECOND time I had been there. As I ordered 9 reg tacos and 2 reg tacos with only cheese he became frustrated and I apologize because I didn't want him to be mean no more than he had already been.So as I waited for a very long time I finally got the courage to ask him "sir what is your name ? he barley looked at me and said JOSE I said have I done something wrong for you for you to act so rude everytime I come here? he really became upset and then we went back and forth. I asked for the manager and to my surprised a MEAN person like him was within leadership. So I asked who is the owner everyone said the owner is never really here and to wait until 6pm for the other manager to come. So JOSA finally goes and get my food which he was in the back for too long even his staff was standing next to me as I was waiting, by this time I was too afraid of eating the food I had already paid for. I said sir I'm sorry but I would like my money back and you can keep this food. I said to him I wish you would stop being so mean and rude. He apologize after everyone was looking but I know he didn't mean it. You don't even greet your customers and I also work in customers service and I know how to be nice to people even if I'm having a hard day. With this happening the second time I went somewhere else and enjoyed their food and service. I am a military spouse who come there with girl friends and my co workers who won't be coming again. Obviously my family had a much different experience than most reviewers. We never leave reviews but it was so awful that I felt like I needed to. I'm shocked to see 4.4/5 stars for this establishment. It was literally the WORST "Mexican" food my husband or I have ever eaten, or should I say, attempted to eat. My husband ordered the pick 2, crunchy taco and enchilada with beef tips, our 7yo got the kids cheeseburger with fries and our 2yo got the kids chicken nuggets and mashed potatoes. I opted to take a few extra minutes to look over the menu and requested the server to go ahead and put their order in. I finally decided on the big burrito rancheros. To my surprise, not even a minute after placing my order, my burrito was being delivered to me. All alone. My husband and children's food was no where is sight. My husband insisted that I go ahead so it wouldn't get cold....too late, it came out cold! Several minutes passed before our server passed by so I could get her attention. At this point, still no food for anyone else. She took my burrito back to the kitchen so the cooks could prepare another one. After a few minutes the other food came out. My husbands crunchy taco shell was stale, like bendy/rubbery, enchilada was not warm and the sauce tasted like they had just opened a can of sauce and poured it on top, the rice and beans were cold. Our 7yo's cheeseburger apparently was the best thing at the table, according to my husband who curiously took a bite of each thing. But it was barely warm and the fries were also cold. 2yo's nuggets were standard bagged nuggets that appeared to be microwaved. My burrito remake, which took less than a minute to make before, finally made its way back to the table. This time it was hot, like from the depths of Hades hot. I cut into it and it appeared as if it was just the insides of the burrito I sent back mixed up, microwaved, and rolled into a new tortilla. The first one came out and had definitive layers, meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes. This one was not and all of the lettuce and tomato was wilted. Inedible! I have frequented this establishment on several occasions and never really had an issue with them so when I had family stop in from out of town we went here for dinner on 7/20. Biggest mistake! The server seemed a bit annoyed that we were at his table cause it was around 9:30pm, he wasn’t too friendly, and when my sisters asked him about the items on the menu he didn’t really say much. We ordered and 10 minutes later food comes out. Chicken fajitas weren’t sizzling and the food my sisters ordered looked old and dry. We asked our server if we can get something else and he stated he had to ask the manager so I told him to send him our way. Manager comes over and says we can’t change the order cause it’s wasting food and he’s losing money if he gives us something else. I explained to him that our food wasn’t hot or fresh, it looked as if it came from another table, and my sisters’ burritos were burnt and dried out. Manager says if we pay for half the food we initially ordered he can get us something else. I informed him that what he’s trying to do was bad for business and asked if they take leftover food from tables and give it to other people. After going back and forth with him for a few minutes he finally took the food back and offered something else, but we refused to order anything in fear that he might do something to our food.
