After driving home from where I work in Nashville I had met me husband and friends for dinner at kisoro
After being in Nashville traffic for an hour during rush is stressful enough and our waitress at kisoro just added to that.
I had ordered a sushi roll and asked for no avocado and it came out with avocado (this is besides the point, my husband ended up eating it) and I had also ordered chicken tempura by mistake thinking it was chicken hibachi as it is called chicken tempura at fugiyama by Wilma Rudolph Blvd. When the chicken tempura came out I instantly apologized and told them how sorry I was and thought that it was chicken rice and veggies and the waitress got mad and started yelling saying āthis is what you ordered!!!! This is what you said you wanted!!!! etc etcā total embarrassment especially with young kids around. By this point I just was ready to leave. I felt so bad because a lady (who Iām assuming was the manager of the store) said she would take care of it and it was okay.
After this, our waitress told me to just grab my yum yum sauce off of the tray myself and my rice as she walked off with the chicken tempura. Just stuck her tray out with the worst attitude and shot nasty looks at me the entire time she continued to serve the rest of our party.
I have never been treated so pourly at a restaurant and have never felt just so embarrassed by a complete outburst from a server. Normally itās the customers getting angry and making the servers night horrible. But in this case it was the complete opposite.
Being a former hostess at 3 different restaurants and working in customer service for 8 years I am completely baffled by the way I was treated.
It was a mistake and I profusely apologized and got treated like I was some sort of an annoyance/imbecile.
This was our first time going to kisoro and most definitely our last. I hope no one else has to deal with this waitresses attitude outbursts...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast week, my husband And I took our two children for lunch here at Kisoro at lunch time. We ordered hibachi steak MEDIUM! We waited like an hour and a half in an empty restaurant waiting on the food, when they brought it out, the steak was RAW, the rice was cold AND bland, and the experience was just all-around bad. The waitress was rude. We asked for the manager, he started off by apologizing and seemed very sincere! He gave us a free dessert and said next time we come in, he would take our names and Was going to put them up on his āboardā to take care of our meal. So tonight (11/14/18) we went to redeem that meal and it was just a HUGE EBMARRASSING MESS. Everything was great, tasted good and then they brought us the check. We reminded them of what the guy told us last time we were in there. She came back with 10$ off the check. We were in AWE! I immediately asked for the manager that promised to take care of our next meal. The manager was like ābut this too much, I can give you $10 off or 20$ off or 15% off but this too much and I have food costsā It made me so mad and I told him no that was not what he said. He was like I know but I have food costs!! I told him for all the times that weāve been there and paid for services and food and it wasnāt good that we had already covered his dang food costs!!! I sat there arguing with this guy for 10 to 15 minutes and was ready to walk out. I was a loyal customer literally only because convenience but I will NEVER go back. I do NOT recommend this place at all. Horrible food, horrible customer service, and the manager is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: I came back in 2022. It's been several years, so I was hopeful for improvement. We ordered sushi, edamame, and two ramens. The sushi (love roll) was good. But the rest... the edamame had no salt and was very dry. The ramen (I got the "special" ramen) was disgusting. The broth smelled foul. The bamboo shoots were rubbery. The pork belly wasn't fully cooked, so it was rubbery and soft. The egg was overcooked. I will never come back.
I agreed to meet my husband and a friend here for dinner. I arrived before them and when I got to the door to open it, much to my surprise, I found it locked. I hadn't seen anyone enter the building, so I thought maybe they were closed. Turns out, they just decided to leave that door closed (the left door was unlocked). It was a turn off to find an entrance locked. I was seated and when the guys arrived, we ordered sushi. I got a tuna roll, California roll, and a shrimp tempura roll. The rolls were fresh and tasty, but they were small and thin (5-6 pieces each). To give perspective, the California roll was $5.50. For that price, I would expect at least 8 pieces. All of the standard rolls that I ordered were not impressive and were similar in quality to grocery store sushi. My husband got the sushi deluxe plate, which was actually a sashimi plate. Our friend ordered two speciality rolls. They were substantially larger (about 9 pieces each) and wonderful in both taste and presentation.
For the speciality rolls, I would consider returning. However, in their standard rolls, the quality does not...
