The Gingham Cafe — Restaurant in Clarksville

We been coming here for months and always got the Creamy Potato soup. Today we ordered them and they were super water down and the potatoes had a light yellow look to it as well. We ask to speak to the manager because the girl at the register said “sometimes it’s watery and sometimes it’s thick”. So after about 10 minutes the “manager” came out. Never once ask what happen and never once apologize for the soup looking unappealing or watery. Food was amazing! I almost never write reviews, but my mouth took me over to write this one. I tried the spaghetti bake and the club sandwich, and the euphoria never ended. The club’s amazing meat and expertly chosen sauces make every bite a dream, while the spaghetti bake’s many different flavors blend starch and sauciness together beautifully. The decoration is simple, but allows you to focus on the food just that much more. It does feel lively, and the nice staff just reinforce that. Sky high prices. Mediocre food. Disinterested waitstaff. I won't be back. The spaghetti bake looked like scoop of over cooked cafeteria glop. When I asked, "This is $9.50??" I was told they "had to stir it after microwaving" 🤢 $47 for 2 people to have lunch. We had a glop of spaghetti w/a roll, a bowl of soup, a slice of quiche & broccoli salad. FORTY SEVEN DOLLARS!!
