El Grullo #4 — Restaurant in Clarksville

I’ve been coming to this place once every week, for an entire year. I went to this place again today for lunch— that tells you about how good the food and the service is!

It’s the hidden gem that Clarksville can offer. Very friendly servers, decent food, good quantity and a fair price!

Chips are complimentary with the house salsas and the sauce.

I stick with the usuals— birria tacos, birria nachos, Fajita de Carne Asada, Menudo, Pozole, and tacos. I’d switch them up every week.

Agua frescas are also refreshing! I recommend piña or jamaica.

Only few places that actually gives you cebollitas and they’re authentic.

Parking is abundant, sometimes very packed but I’ve never had issues finding a parking spot.

My husband and I went here for dinner and when we walked in and sat down it was like sitting in an oven. They have absolutely no AC in a heat advisory and it was 105 outside. It was the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had to the point that I couldn’t stand sitting inside this sauna we had to order our food to go. It easily was over 90 degrees in here. So we got our food to go and once we got home to eat it was pretty delicious until my husband almost broke his tooth on a hard piece of black plastic that was in his taco. Edit** The owner replied to my review asking if this is true. Ask your cashier that was at the counter. As the cockroach crawled on the other side of the counter, instead of even trying to kill the cockroach she proceeded to ask me if it was a to-go order. DISGUSTING. The appropriate course of action would have been to apologize for our experience instead of questioning my review. You say you are there now, well clearly you are ok with working in an establishment with roaches.
