Ordered late tonight on Uber Eats a veggie sub and Perry sticks with pepperoni. Driver was late, took like 45 minutes to get the wrong order. It was a nasty small pizza with ham, pineapple bacon and some weird flavor on the crust plus a salad with tons of onions on it. 2 sides of ranch and a side of banana peppers. Gross!! I don’t even like ham. What the heck was I supposed to do with that?? So I called the Uber driver. He told me that’s what they gave him and the box was sealed so he couldn’t check and had 2 deliveries. I called Perrys directly. They said to talk to Uber since it went through a third party. I did and they gave me Uber cash after I took pics and asked for help under the “whole order was wrong” category. But Perry’s, I noticed you had no labels on anything. How are these drivers, some of whom might not be that detail oriented anyway, supposed to know which order is which if you don’t use ANY labels or include some receipt??
These places need to do better. UE still charged me for the driver tip, someone expecting this weird Hawaiian pizza got my order which I’m sure they weren’t happy about either, and it was late and I have a long drive tomorrow and a lot if work so was really looking forward to that veggie sub. Not happy. Take 10 seconds to put labels on stuff and clarify in a very easy manner for...
Read moreThey are a bit particular about how you pick up your order, but the pizza is decent.
When I placed an order online and went to pick it up, they seemed really hung up on where we ordered from. They asked if it was through Uber and I told them I don't think so. They seemed intent on explaining how I ordered through Postmates and that redirects to Uber, I'm not sure why all of that matters, but just know that when you order to note how and through where you ordered, since that seems to be important to how they keep track of your order.
As far as the pizza itself, it was good but the sauce was too sweet for my trade. I tend to like spicier sauces or more savory sauce. There really aren't that many spicy options of their menu. I wish there was something more substantial spicy on there; Cajun crust just isn't spicy enough to satisfy me.
The pizza itself, it wasn't to greasy. Pretty good points for that! I just wish it's not so plain. For some reason with sweet sauces, it comes out tasting plain to me.
Still, this place is more independent of the big chains so I recommend trying it out yourself; my tastes are not to...
Read moreI love Perry's pizza! Both the traditional round and deep dish options are fantastic. Probably my favorite part is the amount of cheese they use. A lot of other places frequently leave me wishing I ordered "extra cheese." Perry's is generous with the cheese, yet doesn't over do it. It's the perfect amount.
Recently, I decided to try one of their toasted subs (Italian) and was very pleased. It was more than adequate for $7.99, especially with the inflationary economy we're in, where you are typically overcharged or underserved. This sub was perfect. It was readily apparent that the person assembling the sandwich really cared about what they were serving. They did not skimp on the meat and cheese, yet everything was nicely balanced. I will definitely order one of their toasted subs again in the future.
Lastly, the owner and employees are great people. They're always pleasant, helpful and generous. Everything you want in a local, small business.
P.S. Don't forget the cheese bread. ...
