The calamari was gross, the drinks were horrible. Their people, THE WORST. I realize now the owner allowed a bartender from “The Hideout” who had eavesdropped on a convo I had with my parents friend,(at the bar when I was at a table, she was a bar tender who was extremely offended) at the Hide Out about how they thought the place was a dumb and I agreed due to a broken mirror and toilet paper everywhere in the bathroom. It was a “dump”…she works there!!! Not only did my boyfriend catch her whispering to the bartender (and many other employees see in photo) but also at the end, she made it clear she was out to get me when I confronted the owner about such horrible service and drinks we had received. The owner was kind, she offered free drinks but the lady from Hideout came over and made it clear she had it out for me and made everything worse!!! due to the experience at “The Hideout”, she ruined my experience at The Tavern on Main, the photo I’m posting is of all employees drunk at the bar. I’ve had three horrible experiences at this place and I really was hoping that things had changed. (Few years apart) if that owner doesn’t take action then I’m so sorry for their establishment, that’s the most u professional experience I’ve EVER had. They also broke a couple bottles of wine and glasses while we dined there and never apologized for the horrid...
Read moreCame here with my wife and two small children on 11/6/21. The hostess seated me in the bar without asking preference, where it was loud beyond belief. I noticed that folks who looked like they were older were being seated in the dining room, and younger looking people were being seated in the bar. We sat for approximately 10 minutes waiting for a server and weren’t even acknowledged. Nobody came to offer water or greet us or anything. The place wasn’t even busy. Also, on their menu is a tiny little sticker where they have tiny fine print that says you, the customer, are going to pay a higher price than advertised for your food if you’re paying with a credit or debit card. I can’t comment on the food, because we didn’t stay for more disappointment. But if you want to be age discriminated against and ghosted with customer service, this is your place. If you enjoy even a modicum of customer service, avoid this place like the plague. Speaking of the plague, they packed us super close to other tables even though there was plenty of tables that were spaced further from other customers. Will definitely...
Read moreFirst, anyone who posts a negative review here because they went across the street instead of dining at Tavern deserves to get their car towed. There are a dozen signs that clearly say PRIVATE PROPERTY for PATRONS ONLY. If you claim you would have dined here and did not because of their tow away policy you're dishonest and obviously cannot read, or a millennial. Having said that, there is no friendlier, hardworking staff you will ever find, anywhere. These folks work their behinds off to bring the best service. I've been bringing my family here since before my children were born and it's only gotten better. I can't wait until the final upgrades, including the new kitchen, are finished to see what's next on a very good menu. And the beer selection is always good and always changing, from crafts to mowers. You can't go wrong if you...
